Hi there
We went to the Maldives for our honeymoon almost 6 years ago and have wanted to return ever since. Now we have DD aged 5 we thought maybe they have family resorts on offer.
Has anyone had experience of this or heard anything that may well suit us?
many thanks
Elaine

There are certainly plenty of places with kids' facilities and kids' clubs. I've not made the trip, but it's one we've considered and will continue to do so and looked online at Kuoni for suitable resorts. We're in the same position as you - Mads is 5.

Sun Island and Meeru are a couple reputed to be good for being child friendly, although I've not been to these particular islands. I would suggest you get a copy of "Resorts of the Maldives" by Adrian Neville (Available from Amazon) as it gives a good breakdown of what each island/hotel has to offer including kids clubs etc.

Should also add another contender to be family orientated......Bandos! Quite a large island that reportedly has a very good childcare room for the young ones and some good organised stuff for older kids. Mid-price range as well.
