Hi Dibbers

I'm just putting my final touches to my Sept trip with free DDP. We have booked a few table service meals but not too many as don't want to be too tied down.

Anyways we are planning an afternoon and evening at Magic Kingdom so am looking for a Table Service Restaurant for 2 adults (not character) for lunchtime, either in Magic Kingdom or one of the resorts near by so we can have lunch before we start exploring the park. I have tried to look at the TS dining options in MK but they seem limited. Any recommendations please. Also we will be in casual clothing so don't want something too posh!

Thanks in advance.

I would give them a ring and see what's available, as I had to be flexible with my times 180 days out.

Good luck

You could try Liberty Tree Tavern in MK for lunch. Its not a character meal for lunch just dinner.

I will have a look at resort restaurants but not sure how many close to MK do lunch.

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian resort is a little hidden gem of a place. Have a look at the menu here on the Dibb (tab top right) - we loved it there.

The Plaza in MK is very good, real basic food like burgers and sandwiches ets but a great place to sit and eat.

Kona Cafe at the Poly does lunch. We enjoyed dinner there so thats an option.

The Wave at the Contemporary has just recently opened and they do lunch but I can't comment on the food.

The Grand Floridan Cafe at the GF does lunch. We have only been for breakfast but it was very nice and fresh.

Hope that gives you a starting point.:thumbs-up

Thank you for your replies. Kona at Poly looks nice, I'll give them a ring and see what I can get. I'll have a couple of alternatives too so hope I get something.

Thanks.

Hi

Just to update you, I phoned at lunchtime and got a booking for Wave. This was our first choice (after thinking about it decided I'd give it a go with it being new) and we had a choice of times too. I'm really pleased thought I'd have to be flexible and had an alternative with it being free DDP time but just shows you its never too late to try.

Thanks for all your help.
