Where would you recommend for a romantic meal for two?

I'm steering towards Cali Grill so we can hopefully watch the fireworks I think. :)

Thanks

Hi Tracey, i can only recommend cali grill as we haven't been to the others, but for me i think it would be really difflcult to top it,the fireworks from the observation deck just sealed it for us. hth

Mmmm. Can't comment on Jiko as I have never been. But I have been to the others.

Cali Grill was my first choice for our romantic meal in Dec. But when I mentioned it to the kids they were horrified that they weren't going(it was their fav). So I have pencilled that in for Xmas Day.

The Cali Grill is wonderful and I find it romantic because of the view and the fireworks. But...it will be full of families with children and it is pretty noisy. If that doesn't bother you then go for it!

The Yachtsmans is our choice this year for our adult meal. We found the restaurant and food to be fabulous. The restaurant definately feels more adult and its a lot quieter than the Cali Grill. So if you would prefer less kids and a quieter atmosphere then this is the one.

Jiko is supposed to be excellent but I have no idea of what its like and how noisy/quiet it is hun.

My DH and I loved California Grill and would return again but this time we are trying the Yachtsman Steakhouse for a change. Did like the fact that you could watch the fireworks at Cali Grill though and the food was lovely.

I've eaten at all 3 and in my opinion the California Grill was definitely the most romantic and the food was fantastic :)

:) Thanks you all, Cali Grill it is then.

What sort of time do you book for a chance to see the fireworks (know they vary but how long before should we aim to be seated?) And do you ask for a window seat when making the ADR?

Thanks :)

Whoo Hoo!! I have just booked it for Xmas Day, so good choice!:thumbs-up
If the fireworks are at 9pm say, then we aim to get an ADR for 7.30pm. Your meal can easily be 2 hours long here. I wouldn't book any earlier than that but you can afford to book around an hour before the fireworks if it suits you better.

If you ask for a window seat when making the reservation they will just tell you to ask when you get there. You will check in on a different floor so ask there and tell them you are prepared to wait.:thumbs-up
