I am about to book a holiday here and one thing I have heard said about the airport is to take your own food as it is bad quality and very expensive, so I wouldnt hold out too much on there being much there!!

ah, thanks for that tip i shall bear that one in mind before checking out. i think i'll stock up at manchester.:erm:
This is the main Havana airport, right? If so, all I recall from last year is rum, cigars and a few touristy nick-nacks.
Once airside there are further shops as well as a bar and a place selling hot and cold food.

no i'm afraid it isn't, this one, holguin, is on the south of the island, i'm pretty sure it won't be half as good as havanna..... :erm:
Came back 4 weeks ago, only used Varadero airport im afraid (prob be similar though!) founf the airport quite good for cigars going home, very good selection, not much else really! one tip is to change at least some of your money at the airport as they offer a much better exchange rate than the hotels!!! I say only change some as if you are going all inclusive (which most places in Cuba are), then there isnt much to spend money on!! Dont want to change too much as will be stuck with cuc's (convertible pesos)
