Does anyone know if these trains have toilets/restrooms aboard?

Is it run by Amtrak?
If so, have a look @ the Amtrak website & it should tell you what type of train & the carraige layout on it.

A few years ago we went travelled from Philadelphia to NYC on the Amtrak ( great train just like being on a plane ) but the ticket price was really high
We heard the announcer say next stop Penn Street so off we gets with all the luggage only to find we were at Penn Street Newark NJ not NYC.
by the time we realised our error the train had gone but the staff were very helpful and let us board the next train which was a local train, into NYC
We then found out that we could have used the local train system from Philadelphia and saved a lot of dollars,
If I recall correctly there was no toilets on the local train, but that was in 2005 so it may have changed

If it's the train from the air port to Penn station it was very full when we used it last summer - we stood a lot of the way and don;t remember any toilets. It was fine though as the journey is only about 40 minutes.
We'll be doing it again in August.

Isnt that crazy to have a Penn Station Newark and a Penn Station New York?
NJ Transit have bathrooms on some of the cars. May have to walk through a few cars to find one. The conductor can tell you where they are.
Its only 30 minutes to NY from Newark.
Just realized something. Arent you staying in Jersey City? The PATH train is right there to take you into the city.

Yeah we are , but sister in law has booked for the same time but could only get in in a Marriot Courtyard in West Orange, I looked to see how she can get in to NYC and the NJ transit train station is only about 2 mile from the hotel. Parking says $2.50 for the day but she has IBS and sometimes needs the restroom at short notice, hence the question;)

Oh, West Orange. Very ritzy. Country club after country club. Next door to a mall too.
Is Bloomfield the nearest station? I imagine you will try for a cancellation at your hotel for them.

I take it West Orange is a nice area then being "ritzy"?
If you knew the sister in law you would understand that I will definateley not be looking for any cancellations;)
Are there any restrooms in the stations?

Very nice area. "Old money" as they say. Driving along Pleasant Valley Way you'd think people do nothing but play golf all day. Homes are modest but big bucks.
Added: As regards the lovely sis-in-law ... have fun :)
Some stations have restrooms others dont as they are just platforms to catch the trains.
I guess its too late to ask but was the Hilton next to Newark Penn Station unavailable or too expensive?

No the Hilton Newark was twice the price lol.
The station is a park and ride one with a manned ticket booth.
