Hi There,
I know this is going to sound like a bizarre question, but to villa owners is there any where in Orlando where you can get this stuff and would you be able to bring it home or is it a dangerous substance?
The reason i ask is because my dad has a villa in Corfu and he has rang me this weekend and told me he had been bitten by a snake as he didn't see it. :erm:
he then went on to say he had a nest at the bottom of his garden and it must of just came up!
Many thanks
Rachel

I always take a Mongoose with me. I have never seen a snake in Orlando so I assume they are all scared of the Mongoose.:D

Just returned today, and for the first time (out of 9 visits) I saw two snakes. However, they were both dead, squished in the road obviously ran over by cars.

I think you will find posts on here where snakes have been spotted all over the place including in the lazy rivers at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.
Somebody also posted a photo of an alligator that took up residence in their hotel lake.
Can't say I've ever seen a snake ever in Florida (or anywhere else come to that.) A few lizards, but nothing bigger.

We had a snak by the pool at home the other day when I got home. I have never seen the pool deck clear so fast when I pointed it out to the family. It was black and about 2ft long - non poisonous but he kept striking as we tried to move it with the pool skimming net extended to its max length. :erm:
After the Hurricanes in 2004 I saw a cotton mouth which was mis placed after the storms - they are very poisonous. As for snake repelant - never seen anything in the pest control lane at Home Depot.

The locals use moth balls. If you are in a villa sprinkle them around the outside of the pool screen.
