Hi, can anyone one tell me what is the legal limit that you can take into Sanford airport from manchester airport and what is the limit to bring back from sanford to manchester.

My DH's nan is coming with us and has been told that you can buy 1000 from manchester for a very good price, so just wondering what the limit was for one person as we don't smoke but could use up our limit for her.

I believe that the limit into the USA is 200 and back into the UK is 200.

If there are 5 of you going in then she could have the 1000!! She'd have to smoke them out there though as coming back it's the 200 pp again!! :confused2

When we went March 07 I was told I could take 1000 out I did say i thought it was 200 and she said we are fine going in but only 200 to come back. I brought back 600 of that 1000, went through the red and said what I had done he asked if we had any spirits which we didn’t and said it was fine and told me I could go.

:wave:it is 200 into the us and they are cracking down on this they stopped us last year we were only given a warning:wave: last year it was £75 for 1000 regal at glasgow airport. and out hess petrol stations it was $24 for 200 marlboro so not much difference in price if you like american brands:wave:
