01/04 Day 1
Leave H/Row at 14.20 - cry as I say goodbye to Colin - arrive at New York - 16.10(ish)
Get to Jolly Madison Towers - whenever
Unpack and find food!!!!!
Walk around locale gripping Zach's hand so tight it turns blue!!!

02/04 Day 2
Do the Beast!!
The Beast (http://www.circleline.com/beast.htm)
And buy City Pass then take a more leisurely NY boat trip
Visit USSR intrepid - Sea/Air/Space Museum
Have lunch on the hoof
Do the Empire State building - clutching City Pass firmly so I don't have to join the awful ticket queue(avoid temptation to see how long it would take Zach to hit bottom)Relax over coffee and get over vertigo then go to the Time Warner Center / Mandarin Oriental hotel lobby to see the view from over the road after forgetting how bad vertigo is!!
Go to Little Italy for Dinner - drool - meatballs!!!
Cab home avoiding muggers en-route.

03/04 Day3
Visit American Museum of Natural History - after convincing Zach that educational IS fun!!
Go for nice touristy ride around Central Park.
Visit Mars 2112 and get blasted off for a lovely lunch/simulator ride - blech!!
Get the water taxi to downton and then walk all the way back - shopping of course - Century 21 here I come!!!
Dinner in Chinatown tonight - What no chips mum???
Pack - groan!!

04/04 Day 4
Catch plane to JFK at 11.45 arriving at 14.53ish
Get tfr to Radisson Anaheim, avoiding shootouts that Jenny kindly warned me about - thanks Jen!!!
Unpack - again!!! Then wander down road(avoid drive bys) to Disney to collect hoppers for tomorrow - thus cunningly avoiding queues in the morning and also to see if i can get a PS for Goofy's Kitchen as I can't get thro on the phone - sob
Find food - anything - probably starving by now!!!
Sleep!!!

05/04 Day 5
No plans - Just Disneyland - run like mad to get on ride furthest away from gate and get a fast pass as well so I get at least 2 good ones in!!!
Lunch and Dinner a la Disney

06/04 Day 6
California Adventure
Same plan as yesterday - note to self - get guide book for Disneyland so I know what is where!!

07/04 Day 7
MY BIRTHDAY !!!!
PS with Goofy's Kitchen for 10.30
Try to do rides that we didn't manage yesterday or couldn't persuade boy onto.
Eat lots!!!
Pack - again!!!

08/04 Day 8
Fly to ORLANDO!!! Leave 08.45(ugh) and arrive 16.15
Tfr using lovely Quicksilver to Crowne Plaza Universal
Unpack and wander around I/Drive aimlessly until hungry
Put boy to bed and stay up really late doing laundry!!!

09/04 Day 9
Universal Studios today - yeay - get bus up there and do everything!!!!Well MIB and Jaws definitely and see what else we can fit in.
Stagger home and find a Sizzler

10/04 Day 10
Islands of Adventure
Breakfast at IOA Confisco Grill with Dr Seuss characters.
Today will be spent in negotiation with boy as to what rides will not kill him.(Hulk definitely WILL!!!)
Eat at Hard Rock tonight - yeay!!!

11/04 Day 11
Seaworld
Aaah - look at the nice dolphins and then spend several hours scrubbing hands to remove smell!!!:confused2 Sit at the front and get wet watching Shamu, then proceed to freeze in the Arctic. Let Zach loose for several hours in the playground whilst I put feet up wth coffee thinking of strategies to get him onto Kraken. Go get free beer!!!
Go find a Red Lobster for dinner and pig out - Seafood IS Atkins friendly you know!!!

12/04 Day 12
Wet 'n Wild today - I'll just chill in the lazy river whilst Zach goes nuts in the wave pool - I may be induced to leave for a go around the Fuji Flyer.
Tan!!!
Dinner somewhere - depending on what we've found in the locale

13/04 Day 13
Universal and IOA again today

14/04 Day 14
Lots of shopping!!! Beltz outlets and Walmart
Lots of eating again!!!

15/04 Day 15
Pack, check out and stow luggage somewhere safe, Go swimming until Gregory comes to pick us up at 11.00 then get to airport nice and early for flight at 14.00 via Washington.

16/04 Day 16
Get in at the ungodly hour of 06.20 - Let Colin admire my tan and then fall asleep in car probably with drool sliding down my neck and snoring. Cry when I get home cos it's all over and I'm broke!!!

Yes I think it can all be done. I've done 7 or more states in 2 weeks on a coach tour about 10 years ago. All I can say is tiring but worth it for experiencing the countryside and real America :D :D !!!!

Wow what a to do.

I hope it can be done, as I have to get from what ever state I am sent to (I bet it wont be florida - knowing my luck it will be some where like Washington state) WDW in less than a week. Plus I will have to do it the cheapest way possible which rules out flying.

Sounds like a great trip Elise! Make sure you get to the parks in Orlando really early, as it'll be Easter weekend!

Elsie, can recommend a restaurant when you get to Anaheim called Baker's Choice it is a 5 minute walk from the Radisson and it is really nice. We went a couple of times on our holiday in October, and it is child friendly.

The food is really good and the desserts are the best.
