Hi
My neighbour is having a noisy, huge barbecue weekend of 5th July. She has done the decent thing and warned us and invited us.
We have decided that we would rather scarper and so I wondered if any dibbers could recommend a nice country hotel for 1 or maybe 2 nights. Preferably close to good cycling. Was thinking Lakes, Peak District, Kielder.....anywhere really. Other half is a good techincal mountain biker - I am a learner so nothing too technical but like nice long trails and not averse to uphills.
Any ideas anyone????
I just don't know where to start!!!

We had a lovely break at a place called Stapleford Park, although a bit pricey we had an amazing time in beautiful surroundings :)

really good pubs near the Minster with loads of places to eat, we
go at least once a year.
