Can't wait for our 2nd visit to Orlando (27th July 08)..... getting very excited!!!!! I would be grateful for any feedback in relation to buying electrical good whilst on holiday i.e. game console or a laptop? I've known people to buy the smaller items like Ipods but nothing like this.
Thanks for reading and happy hols everyone!:mickey2:

As far as a Laptop goes, just make sure you have done your research into the kind of spec you want/need and compare online prices before you go.
Don't assume it'll be cheaper because its in $, it's often not the case.
Consider warranty as places like Walmart have a limited choice hence know what you require.
I'm not to up to speed on consoles except the DS, which is worth buying over there.
You need to be careful about voltage for charging things up. Not only do you need a plug adapter but you also need a voltage converter for them to work in the UK. Also, although you can use UK and US games on Nintendo DS you cannot use both types in PSP, PLaystation 3 and Wii. If you buy in the US you can only use US games. It may be cheaper and more convenient to buy on line

my DS charger works fine with a US to UK adapter. PS3 is connected to a power source with a kettle cable and you can use US and UK games in both the DS and PS3.
Only problem is with the Wii which needs to be 'unlocked'.
Also only region free DVD's will work in a PS3 so although you can buy them in the UK check the back of the packaging to make sure they aren't region locked.
hope this helps x

It's not a problem for Laptops, they are dual voltage these days, just a cheap plug converter will suffice.

A minor difference with laptops is that they will have a US key board layout (probably). No £ key and the colon, @ etc in different places.
Can be very annoying especially if you are a touch typist.

If we already have a UK DS Lite charger can that be used to charge a DS Lite purchased from the US?
