Just to let people know I asked months ago how far it was to walk to the Crossroads from Downtown disney market place. I have done it myself now and it takes exactly 20 mins at a slow pace ( 1 mile ), it's a pleasant walk and worth it to avoid Disney downtown food prices. There are plenty of differant restaurants to choose from, also the pirates golf was good fun.

Hi
Can Someone help me out here, I was under the impression that you could not walk to Downtown Disney from the crossroads because there was a six lane road to cross. Is there a way you can do this without crossing this road.

Crossroads is at the jct of I 4 & SR 535,and you can enter disney
property. At the bottom of the drive,DISNEY maretplace is in
front of you,you can catch a disney bus to any point in the
DISNEY AREA.CROSSROADS has a numer of resturants and a

There are proper pedestrian crossings to allow you to walk the 6 lane road, it is safe and we had our kids with us.
The crossroads is a small area of shops and restaurants at the end of Hotel Plaza Boulavard, there is also a small Goodings supermarket, we used this to buy cereal for our breakfasts to save money.
there is a gift shop and a Footlocker sports shop but I would use the outlet or Belz mall's.
Some of the restaurants are Burger King, TGI's, Perkins, Taco Bell, Pizza, Ice cream palour, Jungle Jims, Pebbles, Chilis, etc.
There is also a Pirates Cove golf game.
We ate at the TGI's and found it very good and about the third of the price of Downtown.

We always use Crossroads for TGI Fridays, Pizzeria Uno and Red Lobster. The shopping is also good there cheaper than DTD but not as cheap as further off site.
