Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach

Hi people,

We are wanting to spend at least half a day at one of the water parks in Sept, but I am torn as to which one to do. We have never done one of the water parks before (partner a non swimmer, but having swimming lessons that may well rub off by then!).

I understand that some of the slides at Blizzard are better than Typhoon, but Typhoon is lovelier than Blizzard....

Oh I dont know what to do!!! Any adice?

Do both and make your own mind up as to which one you prefer.Personally my DS and I prefer Blizzard Beach but my DH and DS prefer Typhoon Lagoon.:wave:

I perfer TL, i think it's a lot nicer the BB but thats just my personnel opion.
The kids love the wave pool and the lazy river is great.

We like both but OH loves summtt plummet, mind you we also like crush 'n' gusher, so in all DO BOTH!!

why dont you wait and see how water confirdent partner is, if he just wants to relax around water and not do a lot TL if he is more confident BB:d:

I love tl because of the wave pool but its not fantastic for a non swimmer. BB is probably best as the rides are better and there isnt as much swimming. Both have fab lazy rivers.

i love BB and there are loads of slides for non swimmers even summit plummit as you dont land in the pool and the bottom there is only about 2" of water

Been to both with DD's 11& 9 and they prefer BB. Newer and easier to navigate with rafts and such as they have machines to transport more of the rafts up, whereas TL you have to carry them yourself up the steps.

Hubby likes TL for the wave pool. Me and the girls like BB for the slides.

If you can do both and then you can decide. It would be a shame to miss one out:wave:

I prefer TL but our children prefer BL! IMO, Typhoon Lagoon is a great relaxing water park where as Blizzard Beach is better for the water rides.

I love both of the water parks, although to be honest, I don't really go there to use loads of the slides. I'm more of a lazy-river girl - ha ha! My favourite of the two is Typhoon Lagoon because I love the tropical feeling - very relaxing. The wave pool is awesome! Although, if you love thrills, you can't beat Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach - hold on to you bikini though, or you could be red-faced when you get to the bottom!

Depends what you want really!!! For us Typhoon Lagoon wins hands down every time!! If you want to relax its much nicer with more beach areas,than the big sunbed area at BB where the sunbeds are squashed in next to each other! however, if its slides you want then BB has longer better slides (must do crush'n'gusher at TL though!!!;)

I'd do Typhoon Lagoon just for Crush N Gusher alone - although the other half prefers BB! So no help there! :(

I really like them both it's a hard decision! BB rides are the best with the exception of Crush and Gusher which is superb! The theming in both parks is great too - the wave pool at TL is something else. I would try and do both but if I could pick one I think it would be TL.

Personally, I only like the lazy river and the wave pool as I don't really like water rides too much so I prefer TL - DH, DD and DS prefer BB

BB for us and so says Me, DH, DS17, DD16 & DD11, though DD11 does like wave machine at TL.

Both parks are well worth a visit, but if had to choose one it would be BB, has something for everyone of all abilities and ages and our personal family favourite :)

we have only ever done TL - my DS was made Big Kahuna for the day!!

This October, we may do BB and Aquatica
