you can watch him from the sharks underwater grill and you will also be able to see him from the moving walk way in the sahrk encounter.
i booked Dh's dive for 10am as that way the sharks underwater grill wasn't open to customers. i just asked the CM if i could come in to watch and take pics...they don't turn out very well :(
don't know how they would feel about letting you stand around if there were guests eating as you would be blocking someones veiw no matter where you stood

I was there recently and watched people in the cage with sharks sniffing around them - put me off doing it I can tell you, they seemed so near.

There a quite a few different species, and yes you stay in the cage at all times, as the woman at SW said to me we let the sharks do the swimming sir:D

Copy of an earlier post i did...
Hi...when you do Dive with Sharks there are only two people at a time, you meet the trainer by the Polar Bear next to the Artic shop and he takes you through the shop and out the back to a building where he explains waht will happen and all about the equipment you will be useing, once you fully understand about the gear you are then taken into a small room. Here you are shown some items teach and a shark jaw and he explains what type of sharks are in the tank.
You are then taken to a changing room where you are sized up for wetsuite and boots and then you get a locker that has a towel in it and you can put all your gear in the locker(all you need to take with you are trunks/swim shorts). Once you got in your gear you take a buggy ride round the back of Seaworld to Kraken area and you go into the back of the Shark aquarium and he showed us two baby sharks that we could touch and then took us up to a shallow tankhere they do medical checks on the sharks and fish and you go into this and aclimbatise yourself to the water which does not feel that cold at all.
You then get introduced to your emergency diver(Scott) and he goes through your breathing gear, then he puts on your helmet that weighs about 17kg(but they use an electric hoist to put it on ) when you get into the water it is only about 6kg. You then drop down into the tank(standing on the bottom of the tank you are about 4ft from surface)
The cage goes from one end of Shark tank to the other and back again takes about 30 mins) and you wave to the guests in the Shark restraunt(where your relatives can watch and speak to you on an intercom) and wave to the guests on the walkway tunnel.
You are then helped out the tank and then taken back to the building where you shower(soap/shampoo/conditioner supplied) and then you are given a bag with an exclusive(cant buy them) tshirt a book on sharks and a questionair form and taken back to the park area(you can get photos of your dive.
Truly awsom experience and will do it again.

I'm thinking of getting this for Stew as his wedding present. He's always wanted to swim with sharks and I suppose this is the best he's going to get :tounge: Not sure how I'll do it without him knowing as he has already suggested doing this but we'll see!

Thanks for the info
