I'd love an itinerary, we have never been before and I have no idea of where to begin. We're not going until next year, 2nd July. There'll be me, age 39, and my son aged 16 and my 14 year old daughter. I think we'll have a day at Discovery Cove, but as to the rest, I haven't a clue.

I would love help with an Itinerary:). We have never been before, won't be going for the big rides due to health conditions. There are 5 of us(2 adults, 3 kids aged 12,10,8). Spending at least 1 day at seaworld and hoping to get to the beach 1 day and possibly somewhere like silver springs if we can.
We are going April 6th (2.45pm land) to 19th(7.??pm leave) April next year. Any help would be much appreciated as I keep going around in circles.:confused2

thanks

Hi, would love some advice
We are a family of 4 (two adults late thirties + 2 kids aged 15 and 9)We have never been to the USA before, we are going to Orlando last week in August for 2 weeks, we have booked flights, a villa, and a car. I now need to plan what to do, we want to visit the main parks and also want to swim with Dolphins and the new Aquatica. We all love the rides, especially the big ones!!
Also we wouldn't mind going to one or two themed dinner evenings.
Your help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Hi to everyone...jeez i haven't been on here for a few days and i've already got a fair few requests

Ok first things first....unfortunately for many of you at present i'm unable to put you an itinerary together...i would and i will do nearer the time its no problem at all its just the way i do it it would be impossible for me to put something together for those who depart February 09 onwards purely because disney and the rest of the parks haven't yet released their park opening hours :(

I couldn't even begin to put you one together without the park times...in my opinion its the most important part to ensure you get the most out of your holiday by taking into account any special events, extra magic hours etc etc. Come a few months down the line then i'd be more than happy to help you guys but at this moment in time its just not practical.

What i will advise anyone who is holidaying AFTER January 09 is just keep your eyes peeled on thedibb and other disney/travel forums & websites and keep taking notes of what exactly you and the family want to do and see - it will help you a great deal come release of the park times....you might find one or two parks aren't your 'cup of tea' therefore you can scrap that before you or I even begin... I can't even do mine yet as we don't go while 2 may 09

I am sorry to get everyones hopes up but here's just a few tips to get your going...!!

tootsie - we've spoken already...for anyone else interested i advised tootsie to head to Discovery Cove (DC) on July 4 next year purely due to the fact its independence day and the theme parks will be chocker block...DC only let in a limited number of people a day so it will never get full :wavey:

amandaB - you do right in thinking about the rides that might be a risk to you/your family now before you get into the parks...many people get in and then take note of what they can and cannot ride resulting in a possible wasted day that could've been spent elsewhere...can i advise you check out, if you haven't already of course, http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/parks/parkOverview?id=ThemeParkOverviewPage and take note of what rides you would like to/can ride - that way you can distingish what parks you want to visit and avoid. Can I also comment on what I think in your position would be the best ticket option...one with a park hopper option - that way if you've done all you want to do in one park by say mid afternoon theres nothing stopping you 'hopping' (not literally mind :d:!) over to another park to spend the evening/next few hours...
Also Amanda easter next year is April 12th so you will probably find during your second week the crowds are a little larger than the week before so it would be better if you got all the parks done & dusted in the first and chilled more in the second... :wavey:

maccas4 - ahh birthdays....fabulous !! Theres sooo much to do in orlando to celebrate special occasions...i got enagaged last year whilst watching wishes and it was just amazing - my boyfriend also treat me to front row seats at la nouba - disneys cirque du soleil show - it was fantasic... I think that the ages of your children would mean they'd love it too...check out http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/moreMagic/moreMagicLanding?id=DTDCirqueDuSoleiLandingPage or youtube for videos - the tickets can be expensive but i've heard theres not a bad seat in the house so even if you did opt for the 'cheap seats' i'm sure you won't be dissapointed. Also what do you think about doing a helicopter ride, you can get one over just about everywhere - international drive/seaworld/universal and disneyworld...because of where you're staying i'd recommend http://www.orlandohelitours.com/. Just like i've advised amanda i too would advise you to concerntrate more on the parks in the first week and do your planned stuff in the second such as your balloon/helicopter ride etc due to the fact on the 25 May 09 its memorial day and will be busier than the first :wavey:

steve.m - now you steve i can help (i think - it is this august you are going isn't it :erm:!?) all i need it where you are staying and what date you fly in/out? can i also ask whether or not you've got the dolphin swim (i presume at DC) booked yet its just it gets booked up pretty quickly so i would book asap... :wavey:

Hope this helps you all in someway....sorry i couldn't be of further help but you know where i am come 6 months prior to your return flight....do keep i touch and let me know how you all get on with bits and bobs...

Happy planning....

Oooh I'd love some help with ours, please! We're going next month, 26th August til 9th September. It's our first time out there, and we're going with our two year old twin daughters. We were planning on a few lazy mornings/afternoons by the pool and visiting the Florida Mall one day (though still not sure how we're going to get there as I want to come back via a Walmart!) We're staying in ASmovies, so apart from the trip out to the mall, we're not really planning on leaving Disney. So I'd appreciate any pointers, thank you!

We haven't booked the dolphin swim yet, but was planning to book it this weekend, wasn't sure whether to book for the first week or second? also should we book the ultimate ticket?

Possibly also Universal and Gatorland if time allows. A couple of relaxation/shopping days will be needed I'd imagine as well. DH would also like to see 'gators but not sure where is best for that. No problem...just a few Q's...where abouts are you staying, are you interested in doing EVERYTHING, do you have children to cater for, what are their ages, are you hiring a car and how long are you going for?

Hiya, it's Steve.m again, thought I update you, I have just booked swim with dolphins at DC for 28th August,

Nice one steve, sorry i didn't get back to you before now - i'd recommend the ultimate ticket to everyone going for at least two weeks - you can come and go as you please meaning you needn't be restricted to one park per day as you are with others.

I'm on with all your itineraries taking note of each and everyones departure day....

Don't worry if its a week or so before i ask for your email address to send it to....these things take time....i asure you i won't have forgotten :d:

Hi we are off for our first time in 18 days, 6 adults, 3 kids 4, 8, & 12. We have ( or should I say I have) planned a day by day plan for us. Does it need to be more specfic than that ie which rides are where. I dont want to be regimented but want to make the best of our time. Have a few ADRs sorted.

Secondly havent got seaworld tickets yet, just WDW and Universal. Do they ever have offers on seaworld tickets over there, or should i get them upfront?
Thanks

Okey dokes...just one more Q...how long are you going for and what date/time do you get there/leave?

i personally wouldn't plan an itinerary to such specification i.e with which rides to visit and when purely because i can't say what you like and don't like  .... so if i was you then i would probably check out the various park maps and at least get an idea of whats where and plan what ride you want to visit first for example because of the ages of your children when visiting magic kingdom i'd say head straight to pirates of the caribbean and buzz lightyear... the queues for these can get quite long as the day goes on...

I've never left it until getting there to buy any tickets because when you look at the gate price they seem alot (especially if you plan to go more than once)....

However....just to give you an idea on the seaworld website they're doing an adult for the price of a child @ $59.95pp (say £32pp) saving $10 on what looks like the gate price (1 park), or a 2 park (seaworld + aquatica) on the same basis for $84.95pp (say £47pp)...which i think is a good deal..

Hope this helps....

Hi

I would appreciate some advice and guidance on an itinerary that I've put together, posted but unfotunately got no replies on - a bit worried now that it might be no good.

The itinerary is within the Itinerary's forum, called Itinerary for Sept 2008, posted by Hazel on the 19th July.

It's our first time, there's me , DH and DS who's 3.

Got a 10 day water park ticket and we are hiring a car.

Thanks for any help you can give

FAO Kirst al Uk - i would LOVE some help with an itinary if you have any spare time please

I have been to WDW once before - when i was 16 - 9 years ago! that was also before i had my son, now 18 months so will be a different type of holiday this time!

We are flying out from Manchester to Orlando on 1st October for a 2 week holiday. We are spending the first week in a villa in Tuscan Hills (no idea what the place is like?!) then the second week on the Gulf Coast for a (hopefully) relaxing holiday.

So i just need help with the first week in resort if at all possible (unless you know anything about Clearwater beach and advise on that).

There's me, dp and our son, plus the inlaws and dps bro and his g/f going (so hopefully some babysitters on tap!), and we are hiring a car (or 2) between all of us, so getting around isnt a problem.

I've done a bit of research myself and have decided i definately want us to visit: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon (unsure which will be best!? or is there another one more suitable for a toddler?) and Seaworld.

I was looking at the character breakfast/dinner but from things ive heard my son might be too young for this?
And i was quite liking the idea of Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party, but again didnt know if this would be suitable?

would appreciate any help at all you can give me, as it feels like a minefield and my head is buzzing with all things Disney at the mo. Im desperate to make this a magical holiday for all concerned.

p.s havent bought any tickets as yet, as we werent sure which to get and if they were cheaper when you get there?! also, not sure what to do about places like Universal etc. as these seem a bit too 'grown up' for our son.

Thank you very much xx

This must be keeping you soooooooo busy!

Myself (Gus), DW, DS (9) & DD (7) arrive at MCO on 11th Oct at 18:00 .
Sadly, we have a flight home on the 25th at 21:00 :(.

This will be our first visit. We have already bought 14 day Ultimate tickets for Disney, and 14 day 3 park tickets for Seaworld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens. We're not planning going to Universal on this trip.

We have a Villa in Calabay Parc, and have a Hertz hire car.

We were hoping to have a few water park days as the kids love swimming, and one trip down to Busch Gardens. We also want to see as many of the firework shows as possible.

Thanks for helping everyone out with this. :thumb:

Thanks again.

Hi Kirst_al uk,

Just spotted this thread an wondered if you help us please. I know it's short notice but at the moment we're all in a muddle as to when to fit things in. We're flying from Manchester on the 18th Sept 08 13:30, staying at the Best Western Lakeside for fourteen days and have the Flexticket plus. Me & the kids 14 & 9 have never been before though hubby has been once years ago. We will have a car over there.

We'd like to do Aquatica on our first day (boys decided this would be this first park) and on the 23rd we celebrate our 3rd Anniversay. Would you be able to recommend something for that? Possibly air boat tour and a meal in a nice restraunt that will cater for the kids too. We wouldn't mind going away for a couple of days to Silver Springs either we thought about the 2nd Sat - the Monday (hopefully missing a bit of the crowds) .

Just realised I've put a fair bit in for you to work around sorry:blush: Any help or suggestions would be appreciated and I know it's short notice so understand if you're too busy.

Thankyou:

Hi Kirsty

If you have time I'd love some help with an itiniary, I've tried to do one myself but we seem to have too much to cram into our time there.

Me (33) and DH (35) will be going on our first trip 6th October, staying at the Fairfield Inn Marriott Village for 12 nights then we're off to Sarasota for a couple of nights. We've got a hire car for the whole holiday.

We're not big coaster fans - we did DLP and enjoyed Big Thunder, Space Mountain etc but found Aerosmith a bit much. We've got the 6 day MYW non hopper Disney tickets and a 3 day Universal hopper ticket (we don't have to use all the days). We would also like to fit in a balloon ride, a visit to one of the springs and some shopping! For the evenings we've planned to do Basketball on 8th, Oktoberfest on 10th and Kissimmee for the cars on 11th. We're not going to do seaworld, Busch or KSC - we'll save them for next time (fingers crossed)!!

Many thanks
Caz

Hi. Would love help as this is our first visit. Going 11th October 2008 for 2 weeks staying at Wilderness Lodge hotel. Party consists of 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 10). Have bought Disney ultimate tickets, Universal (7 day return) and Seaworld(One day). We are not renting a car. Would like to include a character breakfast and awould appreciate advice on other restaurants we need to book! Would also like to surprise family with something special (possibly a limo ride to a restaurant or a cruise to see the fireworks) but would appreciate your opinion on these.
Thanks, Don.

P.s. tried for character meal at Chef Mickey but none available for the 2 weeks we are there!

We are a family of four, first timers who travel next May for 2 weeks and are completely lost as to what to do , my 2 sons are aged 12 & 8 when we travel, and are tending to side with the universal side of things. We're staying on I-drive with access to a car , we're thinking along the lines of the Orlando Flex Ticket (maybe not Busch Gardens) and 3 or 4 days in Disney , the kids are keen on Water Parks and we'd like some family entertainment in the nights , squeezing in the odd bit of shopping.

Is it too much to do the 2 parks in your opinion ??

Thanks for your help it'll be much appreciated!!

Hi
I would love if you were able to put together a rough guide for me please!
We are first timers, me, DH, DD1 (17), DD2 (11) & DS (8, nearly 9!) travelling out Sat 14th Feb next year, arrive 5pm-ish leaving Sat 28th 7pm-ish
I have already booked 14 day WDW ultimate tickets, 14 day Orlando Flextickets and booked DC for Thurs 26th - I thought it would be a lovely finale as the kids know nothing about it! I'd also like to visit Busch Gardens (inc in the DC ticket)
I have a feeling I will try to cram too much in as I am SO excited about this for the kids and don't know if/when we'll be back again - we do have a hire car and we all prefer to be busy but wouldn't mind a coupla lazy (ish!) days and a shopping trip or 2!
Any help much appreciated thanks!

Hi, I could do with some help too please, I've spend the last two days trying to plan an itinerary and its not going to good :erm:
We are going on November 22nd, flying home on Dec 6th, me, dh, and 4 kids are going, two boys 9 and 7, two girls 5 and 2 years old, we are staying in a villa and have hired a car for the duration.
The only thing I have booked so far is the Mickey Christmas party on Dec 4th. We would not be into scary rides at all, my boys are car fanatics, when we go to fairgrounds at home the only thing the are interested in is the bumping cars!! We are going to book Bibbity bobbidy boutique for our older dd, we want to do some shopping, go to Sea World and Busch Gardens. I would really appreciate your help, thanks a million :thumbs-up

I would love some help. Myself & boyfriend (both 35) and our 3 year-old daughter are going on 23rd September (a bit short notice, I know). Myself and bf were there 5 years ago so this will be a different sort of holiday for us!

Need to go to Magic Kingdom and Universal/IOA (obviously). Would possibly like to go to Seaworld if we have enough money (long story short, booked originally with TCD, had to re-book at last minute at a cost of £2500). We now have approx $3500 to spend. No tickets booked for anywhere now either.

We arrive at Orlando International at approx 7.30 pm and have about a 40 minute drive to our condo.

Going self-catering (Tuscana, just off J58 of I-4) and driving. We are not averse to travelling to go anywhere and are looking for cheap(ish) alternatives.

Would be most grateful for anything you can suggest. I will understand if it's too short notice however. :thumbs-up

Hi everyone...

I just wanted to post to tell everyone that i haven't forgotten about any of you  honest !!

As you can probably imagine i have itineraries coming out of my..... ears lets say so i'm going to have to put a limit on how long i need to prepare them...

I ask if your departure is less than 2 weeks away then i can't promise anything however i would advise you to email me and i will see what i can do. If i can help i will do but please take my head into consideration - i think its going to blow :d: !! I have everyones username, departure day, accomodation, special requests etc on a spreadsheet and am working down it as i've said previously in departure date order....i've just finished traceyandlukes with mikeh23 next in line.

Get in touch...i am more than happy to help... :wavey: !!

EDIT - thought i'd add onto this a little....

Just a few things i need to know before i start your itinerary...who, what, where and how....?

1. Who's going?
2. What tickets do you plan to buy/have already bought?
3. Where are you staying?
4. How do you plan to get around, car, public transport etc and how long are you going for?

If you already have an itinerary you want me to look over then do let me know...it will save me starting from scratch if you already have something in the pipeline....

Please be patient and bare with me - i am doing them in date order so no squabbling :d:...

:wavey:

I'd love an one please. There are 4 adults, one 19 year old, 1 16 year old and 1 9 year old. We have got the 5 park flexi tickets and 4 days at disney. We are staying at the Rodeway inn on I drive. We will use the shuttle bus from the hotel to some of the parks and the rest will be public transport. We are going for 2 weeks. Can't wait to SHOP SHOP SHOP! :spin:

Thanks

Count me in too please !!!

Would be great if you could help me with my plan.

There are three of us off to sunny (hopefully) Orlando on Saturday 28th March - April 18th March.

Our flight arrives quite late on the Saturday so not sure if we willbe up too much on the Sunday !

DH - aged (cough) 43, me aged 36 and DD aged 8

We are staying off site at a villa on HighGrove and will have a car.

Would love to include a few character breakfasts (DD is not into the Disney Princesses anymore but loves Mickey, Pluto and Eeyore)!
Also some nice dinner shows/character dinners or evenings out without breaking the bank !

She also does not really "do" coasters as such but loves animals - Seaworld and AK !!! - and all things Disney - especially shopping for their cuddly teds !

We are going to buy a Disney 21 day ultimate ticket, DC swim with dolphins, Seaworld and Aquatica 14 day tickets (attached to Dc tickets).
We are not intending to buy tickets for US or IoA.

We would like a few days at the beach (Clearwater) and have thought the busy Easter weekend might be good for this !

DH wants to go to SKC for a day.

I am really looking forward to the Fireworks and night time shows especially Fantasmic.

DD really likes swimming and the "pool" as weel as the parks (have a feeling the pool will be the highlight of her hols) !

I know the April hours haven't been released yet - but if you could add me to you list Iwould be eternally grateful :)

Thanks !!

Hi jud

just to let you know that each and every itinerary i've done is unique to those who i've done it for - i can guarantee each and every one is different - with all due respect getting a copy of someone elses wouldn't help you a great deal (if anything in fact). I hope you understand.

Drop me an email and i'll see what i can do -kirsty1704@hotmail.com

Got back on Sunday after an amazing holiday, and can thoroughly recommend Kirsty's itineraries - it was so helpful and manageable. We swapped a couple of the days around but it worked really well for us. Thanks so much! :)

Aww thats great to hear - you would not believe how many people don't come back on thedibb to share there experiences not only with regards to the itinerary but they whole florida/orlando experience - i check when people are due home and their previous posts and i honestly must've only seen a handful of posts/threads from those who've recently returned...

Glad it helped though rian and thanks very much for the feedback - its much appreciated...will be looking out for your trip report !!
