Around the 10th August to 29 Sept inclusive, I spoke to Disney yesterday and they do not have a release date yet but thought it would be late August IF they did do it.

Does the DDP have a big impact on how busy the parks are?!

Yes it does. Late August early September used to be a slow time of year. But since the free dining plan was launched, it gets busier each year. You must book your ADR's if you want to eat at the popular resturants.
is it right that you can book through usa sites and get different dates if so what sort of dates

Free dining has to be booked during August - November the year before over here, but in the US you have to book (i think) between April and June of the same year!
The US free dining period is still in August/September, but for a shorter period of time! I think the US only get it for 4 weeks whereas in the UK it's 5 or 6!

We booked last for last year and again this year and, if I remember rightly, it was from around mid August to around the 27 September for arrivals but I think you could only physically book the holiday between September to November - but I could be wrong.
