Hi everyone,

I am still undecided as to whether we should get this for our trip next month.

Is the DDP still worth getting??:confused2

If anyone has recently been and used it, please let me know how you got on.

Many Thanks,:wavey:

We used it last year, got it free with Virgin and would definately say it was worth it, even if Virgin don't offer it for free next year, I will be purchasing it. Just remember you need to make sure you book all your ADR's before you go otherwise you will find you won't be able to get in and then it won't be worth it. Hope this has helped.

We got it free but if your plan to use it everyday and use most of the snacks, self service and table meals then yes it would be worth it. But some restaurants ask for 2 table meals and you can use it to watch didneys dinner shows. The meals in world showcase would have cost me and the girlfriend lots if we didnt have the dinning plan. So for £26 odd aday for 2 meals and a snack is worth it.

I only have three meals booked for the end of August, do i need to book more ? Wanted the convenience of just eating whenever and wherever we are.

The end of August is the free DDP period so many of the Disney restuarants will have been booked 6 months in advance! It is very difficult if not impossible to get late bookings at a lot of the restuarants, especially character meals, and some of them won't accept any walk-ups during August/September, so it really is best to make all the adrs you want well in advance to avoid disappointment! :wavey:

yes totally agree-last year we saw so many familys disapointed and angry because they could not get any reservations-you need to contact disney asap to try and book some adrs but i think you will be very lucky now-because the americans also have free ddp during august/september-good luck i hope you manage to get in some places

Definitely call now. We booked at the 180 day window and tried to amend some of the times we had booked about a month ago - we couldn't do it, all the restaurants we had booked were fully booked until late in the evening.

And to the OP, this would be a bad time to buy the DDP as it is the free offer and a lot of the restauarants will be very if not fully booked by now.

We have booked our room direct with Disney at CBR using our annual pass and wondered if there is any discount on the DDP please or what price it is. I know that it is free in September when you book direct with Disney and buy park tickets but obviously we already have our park ticket.

Thanks

Unfortunately you have to buy tickets to get the DDP! When booking directly through Disney you only need to buy a 1-day ticket per person, but there are no discounts available! :wavey:

I was the same, wondering if I should buy it or not but I think it was the best thing we did. It saved us a lot of money (still not added up how much, but will do). We got it for the first 9 days but did not bother when we moved back to Disney for the last few days. I really do not know how people coped when you got a starter included too. I was more than full with what we got.

Is it still worth purchasing the DDP if you aren't going to spend everyday in Disney - we are going on 21st July for 21 days but will only be spending around half that time in the disney parks - other time will be in Orlando and Universal. As you have to book the DDP for the entire stay of your holiday, we would be losing the value of some days when we are not at disney?? Very undecided - any advice please.:confused2

We went to other theme parks but during September Universal,Seaworld and Busch gardens all closed at 6pm and went back to Disney and went in one of the parks which had the evening extra magic hours.
