I was just about to say the same thing but as long as you expect it, it won't come as a shock to the system.
Your itinerary is fab Ben, I really wanted to go for Christmas this year but my sister decided to get married on December 27th so it's been postponed for a year or so.
Sounds AMAZING!:spin:
We're hoping to do this in 2010, starting to save after this years hols...can't wait!
A fab itinery. We are going on the same day as you!!! I'm soooooooooooo excited about spending Christmas is Florida, I think I'm more excited than my 2 DS.
We have no ADRs booked, we may book a couple but tend to go with the flow really. I think our christmas day will be spent in the villa we are renting, then maybe a park late afternoon early eve.
Which flight are you on?
Have a great time

It's quite late 9am I think but we have decided not to stress if we don’t get in we will just go to another park lol:grin: both our meals are booked at resorts rather than in a park so it’s not essential that we get in.
The kids are older 13 and 10 so they know for this trip it’s about the atmosphere and not the rides.

Are you tempted Ben?

The only reason we have booked so many ADRs is that I’ve heard that the traffic in and out of the parks can be quite bad at this time of year.:omg: We don’t fancy wasting time in heavy traffic going off site to get meals. I suspect there won’t be many walk ups available at this time of the year in the parks and resorts!
If you are staying off site you will be heading in and out most days anyway and will be well stocked up In your villa lol :D:thumbs-up
We are flying from Gatwick with Virgin on the 20th.

I'm so excited and we have months to wait yet lol!:pgig:
Thanks everyone!

Now your getting me worried, I think a urgent planning meeting will have to be arranged ( we are going with my brother, sister-in-law and their 3 girls) and we will have to get some sort of ideas into action!! I think if we were going on our own we would just book them, but when you have to think of another family too, its not so easy.
We are also flying with Virgin on the Saturday at 12.45, maybe see you there.
Have you been at Christmas before? if so would love to hear about your experiences.

Oooh! I think that may be our flight too.:spin:
I’ve never been at Christmas time but my Friend/neighbour has, so I’ve been getting loads of tips from her. We have only ever been the four of us ourselves, I can imagine it being difficult to please everyone when going in a bigger family group.
I bet it will be fantastic to be able to share Christmas at Disney with family though.

Looks like a wicked plan and you sound very sensible on your approach to MK on Xmas day!

Itinerary looks good :thumbs-up
We will be there over the Xmas again too.....arrive 20th December.
Xmas just gone, we planned on spending the full day and evening at MK. Unfortunately (due to me fainting!) we didn't get going until around 10am and MK was already full to capacity. There were signs posted all along the Disney route saying that MK was closed!
So, we missed our ADR's too and ended up with fish and chips for Xmas dinner.

Your itinerary looks great. The only thing I would mention is that shopping on Boxing Day could be very busy. We did that last year because apparently there are massive sales on Boxing Day. Unforturnately all the shops were heaving and the traffic was a nightmare so we didn't really get to buy alot. The trick seems to be get up really early and get to the shops before they open.

looks fab to me!
very sensible to book so many ADRs, you can always cancel if you change your mind. Everything was booked solid when we were there over Christmas, I'm glad I'd found the Dibb and made ADRs or we would have been sorely disappointed
Hi
Itinery looks good
As others have said ADR's are a must, the amount of people I saw being turned away from places last year was amazing! I doubt that you will get into MK after your breakie, we went to MGM (Hollywood studios!) last Christmas Day and it was great we had a excellent day.
Fantastic time to go just remember your warm jumpers as well!
