Hi all,

I am trying to get some ideas for lunch on xmas day for a family of 4.

We are staying at Fairfield Inn near to Downtown Disney and we really dont know what to do for lunch.

It would be nice to have a 'traditonal' xmas dinner but I would not have a clue where to go!

Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant or Disney restaurant that we could go to?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul

Christmas Day dining at certain Disney restaurants might be pretty hard to get now. People have been booking for a while now.
I would ring asap to see what if anything they have.
1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana are nice.

You are on the doorstep of Bahama Breeze, which is really nice. I am not sure if you can book this though.

I think many of the off-site restaurants will be closed on Christmas Day. Some will be open but I'm not sure which ones.

If I were you I would call Disney dining today and see whats available. Maybe try for one of the signature restaurants like Artist Point.

Hi,

Thank you for the prompt replies and ideas.

I just called Disney Dining and could not get reservations at the ones you suggested - but the very nice lady on the end of the phone had a look at the available options for xmas dinners and she recommended the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort.

So I am happy now we can eat on christmas day.

So I think the plan for the day is MK and then off to Cape May Cafe for dinner @ 5pm.

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Paul :wavey:

Thats good news.:thumbs-up

I haven't been here for dinner. The breakfast was fab though. I believe its a clambake buffet for dinner with lots of options so you should enjoy it!:tounge:

Hi,

The very nice lady at Disney said she has eaten there quite a few times and it is really good, plus there is a few good reviews on the Dibb, so I am sure it will be good.

The menu for the day is 'christmas fayre' with Roast Beef, turkey etc... which is exactly what we want.

Thanks for your help.

Now the next thing to book is a visit to the bibbidi bobbidi boutique for the dw and dd!

Regards

Paul.

I called Disney Dining yesterday and nothing i wanted was available, i was also offered Cape May Cafe for 5.30 so i might see you there, i really wanted 1900 ParkFare or Chef Mickeys but they are full all evening. I did manage to book Brunch at Chef Mickeys which i'm very happy about as we don't plan on doing any parks that day so it will be good that the kids get to see Mickey and Minnie on Christmas Day

Since you are off property you could also consider going to Gaylord Palms to explore the resort. They have a lot of things going on and it really is a nice place to go to. The ICE exhibit will be running and they have a laser light show, Santa, etc. Take a look at theChristmas In Orlando (http://www.christmasinorlando.com/) website. They've been adding to it since all of the info isn't available yet but it is a good site to bookmark and use as your holiday draws nearer. It covers all of the area information so it is really a good place for Christmas in Orlando info.
