Hi,
Try looking at Floridays I drive - we've booked there for next October. They have 2 and 3 bed condo's, and are not badly priced at the moment booking through hotelopia. They seem to get very good reviews, if you do a search on the dibb you'll find comments from people who've stayed there recently. There is also an i-ride stop just outside, which makes it easier not driving. I'm not sure how easy the disney parks will be as non drivers from i-drive though (we're planning to visit universal etc more than disney)

This is the reasons we always stay onsite.

Our kids are all in their 20's and people can do their own thing at anytime of the day bacause Disney transport is run throughout the day.

We have always found this the better option than, all having to go to the same park or dropping people off at differents parks and then picking them up again.

We have only stayed offsite once. In a hotel on I Drive...DH didn't want to drive, so we choose one with free transport. We only lasted 3 days before getting a car as the busses left at 9am in the morning and then only dropped you off a epcot......you then had to use disney transport to get to other parks.

In the evenings you had to make you way back to epcot to get the bus back. This didn't leave till 11pm so it was avery long day.....with a lot of hanging around waiting for the bus.

It was a nightmare:omg:

i'd go for a condo in Lake Buena Vista, you could get a few condos so each family had their own space. Somewhere like LBV Resort, Cypress Pointe, the Fountains etc.

i still think you'd need transport though.

If you can afford it I would stay onsite that way you can all do your own thing or stay together as you want
The buses are very frequent unlike the shuttles from most hotels and you get EMH advantage
You could hire a minibus to get you to other parks which would probably work out cheap between you all:)

The places mentioned above ,or on-site are all good options. If you want to be in the centre of i-drive another option might be the holiday inn. Large rooms, but you can get interconnecting doors. Had three rooms once with interconnecting doors that allowed access through the 3 rooms, which was brill.
Not as good as a house, but location location location if you are after i-drive buzz.

Check out Vista Cay as well. Located on Universal Blvd just behind I-Drive, near SeaWorld. We booked there last year though Complete Orlando, exellent prices. The offer 3-bedroom condos or townhomes.
