I've just booked this for 30th September, is this far enough in advance to get a good table near the pool.

How was the food, is there a good enough selection for the kids (10 & 8).

Many thanks :wavey:

My only thought is watch that Shamu blighter, if your back is turned he'll have the chips off your plate in a flash ;)

Hi, we did the 'dine with shamu' last year and it was brill !
To be honest the food was o.k. but nothing to shout about, buffet style and there was a good choice for kids. You won't be too interested in the food though...... you definately get up close and personal with Shamu & co !!! They put on a little 'training show' whilst you eat and then the whales (sorry Shamu's) are free to wander around the pool and they come and say hello....!!!! Awsome !!
If I remember correctly you can't book a specific table, they allocate on arrival so get to your allocated seating time EARLY to grab a table next to the pool. (Don't forget your poncho. !!! LoL :omg:)
Just kidding ...... they dont splash ...honest :tounge:

I have a great photo of shamu popping her head up over some rocks next to our table but I don't know how to attach it ??? ...sorry :confused2

Hi there:wave:
We 'dined with Shamu' in July 2006 and had a whale of a time:pgig:
Our table was right next to the pool so have some fantastic photos. DDs face was a real treat when 'Shamu' popped up next to her with mouth wide open :d:
The food was okay, there was plenty of choice so go and enjoy:grin:

I Think this depends on how many there are of you and when you want to go. Me and the misses have done it a couple of times and we usually go to Seaworld a couple of days after arrival, we then book Shamu for the following week. Never had any issues doing it this way. As for seating near the pool.... No idea how you can influence this. I guess turning up early might help, but as they will have to arrange table configuration on a day by day basis depending on size of attending parties I don't think it makes too much difference. There aren't really any bad seats to be sat in.

I have read on here many times that tables are allocated from when you booked ie. earlier bookings get nearest tables to Shamu?
Certainly hope so, I know we were first to book for our date - they had to ring me to change the date I'd originally booked and told me so.
