The one bed apts are quite compact, how many of you are going? We had a 2 bed last December for ds aged 5, me and dh so we each had our own separate bedrooms. Also, with a 2 bed you get a washer and a drier, whereas with the one bed ones you don't. Email the resort if you want a particular floor, we did and they happily accomodated us.

Fab location, just 10 mins from most places, nice and safe feeling. Nice, clean apartments if a little cheesily decorated (love that chintzy floral!!). We loved it so much we are back there in October. Don't think I would consider anywhere else as it's just perfect for us.

Thats fab thank you!:spin:

The size of the room isn't important to us as we are out most of the day anyway and we are used to staying at the Disney value resorts so thats no problem and for £34 a night I'm not complaining.:thumbs-up

I am really looking forward to it, it looks very peaceful.:o:

We stay there as we are DRI points members, it is a timeshare resort! We stayed in Feb this year and took our friends with us. We had a 2 bed and they had the 1 bed lock off bit. They are compact in comparison to the 2 bed but our friends had a cot in their bedroom and still had room. The living area has a sofa bed that pulls out and you have a kitchen, just not a washer/dryer. There's a dining table and chairs. The bathroom is through the bedroom with a 'roman tub'.
Heres the website for you to have a look for yourself

We are staying there at christmas! :D

It looks like a gorgeous resort. I looked at the website earlier before we booked but it wasn't clear which rooms are the 1 bed or the 2 beds. So I wasn't sure if there was a kitchen and dining table in the 1 bed.:thumbs-up
Does the tub have a shower attachment? Hope so.:)

Do all the rooms have a balcony/lanai?

It is a lovely resort Leanne, quite my favourite offsite place.

Do you want me to dig out some photos?

My DDs really liked swimming in the turtle pool and there are some very fast steep waterslides at the volcano pool over at the CP Villas (the non Grande bit).

We (DH and me) stayed in a 2 bed in the Grande side, this march just gone for the 1st time. The apartments are lovely, and ours was very clean. The balconies are screened against insects, and had a ceiling fan which was nice.
The apartments are not very far from WDW and within walking distance to quite a few restaurants.
We have booked for another week, as part of our trip next September 2009 as we liked it so much.
Im sure you will have a fab time there.

Thanks for posting this Leanne, had already got recommendations on the DIBB for Cypress Pointe for our trip next year and this has just served to confirm it in my mind - only 300 + days to go
Will be interested to hear how you get on. :tigger:

According to their other website cypresspointe.net they are doing some renovations on the grounds like tennis court, shuffleboard, picnic area, etc.
Also the new cafe in the other phase should be completed in Aug 2008 so you'll have to tell us how it all looks.... please.

We stayed in a 2-bed and loved it. Clean and updated. Really enjoyed the hot tub :)
Convenient to everything. Dont need to use I drive or I-4 to get to the parks.

I'm looking to book in September but the price I'm being quoted is £70 per night. May I ask where you booked.
We've stayed there 3 times including last year. It's a great location and the 1 bedroom is fine. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We had a lovely meal in the Crab Shack which is 5 mins away and the staff even provide entertainment.

Leanne you will love the location. You can walk to lots of restaurants. The closest ones are Giordano's (Italian), Steak 'n' Shake, a Chinese Buffet and Sizzler in the area by the Country Inn & Suites. Across the road there is Chili's, Joe's Crab Shack, Macaroni Grill and Shoneys (best avoided). A bit more of a walk will bring you to Palm Parkway where there is Cici's, Olive Garden, Hooters, Kobe and the Carving Station. A bit further again and you are at Crossroads although we didn't walk this far, it's do-able. Plenty of choice there including TGI, Perkins, Black Angus, Denny's, McD's, Taco Bell and Burger King.

There's a Domino's at the Vista Center which we've used a lot and a Winn Dixie supermarket just to the side of CP on Lake Road so you won't be stuck for things to eat in either. It's a great location

We ate at that Chilis when we stayed for the night at the Country Inn and Suites in May and it was yum!:tounge:
Didn't get much chance to try the others close by as we were going home the next day.

We have to try the Olive Garden this time and I just cannot go to Florida without nipping through the drive through at Taco Bell! Mmmmm.:tounge:

The Dennys is great at Crossroads too.:tounge:

Anyone can stay. The 2 and 3 bedroom units have full kitchens, widescreen tvs, and w/d. The one bedroom units are small so for just a few dollars more would recommend the 2 bedroom.

Fab list Lynn - you missed out my fave Red Lobster at Crossroads, Chevys, Pizza Hut and an IHOP near the Doubletree resort. There is also a 7-11 petrol station near the IHOP.
(I always forget some of them!)

Had the worst meal of my life at Joe's Crab Shack and would never eat there again!

Hi Leanne

Just got back early this morning, CP was fantastic, it was our 3rd stay, just been looking for over christmas (dh dosnt know yet)and i cant get a two bed, weve had the one and two bedroom, there is a vast difference is size between the 1&2 but if your out all day its no big deal, there is a full kitchen in one bed, usual size fridge/freezer, dinning table and sofa/bed,

They have a kids club with activities for the kids if they want to join in, some things you had to pay for, dd didnt bother as shes a bit too old now but plenty of little kids seemed to be in and out of kids place,

They have a small mini golf aswell,

I asked for a top floor overlooking pool which we got, its really central to loads of restaraunts as mentioned in earlier posts,

As for the renovations we didnt even hear them once, we did drive round and have a look but its nothing major

Im sure youll love it here, dd took some lovely photos of the pool, i will see if she can get em up for you

I've just booked Cypress Pointe GV for 18 nights over christmas and its great to read so many good reports about it. We stayed there in Aug 04 and loved it then, there's 6 of us going this time and really wanted a 3 bed but i tried about 10 different websites and it wasn't available so i've booked 2 bed, just hope its big enough for 6. We paid £40 a night through lowcostbeds.com which i thought was a great price for christmas. Now i'm struggling to make an ADR for christmas dinner.
