View Full Version : Sci-Fi Diner - are all the tables "cars"

Basically as the title states :smile:

We are going to do an ADR for this because DS(4) is mad on cars. I've read lots on threads on how bad the food is but that's not an issue - its just for DS.

My question is, are all the tables themed as cars or only some of them?

If its not a car we aint going - can't imagine the screaming if we took DS in there and sat him at a normal table watching all the othr people in cars. I shiver at the thought!!

Most are but there are a few not.

I would let them know that you either need a car or if unavailable then just leave. We have never not sitten in a vehicle.

:wavey:hi if you book a table you can pick what you want , most of the dining is car with a few tables running around the outside :wavey:

The seating is mainly cars with only a few tables around the edge. We have always had a car and I have eaten there several times. When you arrive for your ADR just tell them you want a car and are prepared to wait extra for one, however you shouldn't be waiting too much longer as there are way more cars than tables so it is likely that a car will become free before a table.

From previous experience the tables seem to get given to those who turn up without a reservation so that people who have made an ADR get priority for the cars.

We ate there for the first time last trip and I must say our meal was lovely. In fact we have booked another ADR for August :wave:

Sci Fi is one of our favourites, we've never had a bad meal there and we've never not had a car either. There are only a few tables around the edge which are not cars, just plain tables. Sometimes you are asked when you check in if you have a preference for seating, but not always. If the CM doesn't ask just say you'd like a car and they will accommodate you.

We had an ADR and on checking in we were asked whether we wanted a table or a car.

We have eaten at a picnic table, we didn't have an ADR and were given a choice, 10 minutes for a picnic table or 2 hours for a car. With an ADR you should get a car no problem.

just booked lunch for 25th September.It was the pictures of the tables that made me want to book it.My ds will love it

Thanks for the replies (great photos michelle, DS will love seeing all the cars lined up!). Will make sure we request a car when making the ADR.

You will need 2 cars. The cars usually take 6 but we got 7 in one last time (1 was only 5yrs old) but that was a squeeze, unless there are a lot of small children you will need the extra car!!!:)
