Lindfields - any comments

Has anyone got any information on Lindfields - what its like, how long it takes to disney, any shortcuts, nearest supermarket etc

The community is off of 192 west and it is very close to Disney. It is in what is called the Formosa Gardens area. Very easy to get back and forth to the parks, I4, restaurants, grocer and package store. You can not beat the location.

I have to agree with Deb above: you simply cannot beat the location!

Lindfields is a great well established community that is well known for its fantastic location..... hence we bought 3 villas there!

Travel to Disney, this can be done two ways, one taking the 192 directly to World Drive, or alternatively taking the back route / shortcut via Funie Steed Rd / Sherbeth road which brings you out onto Disney. We clocked the distance from one of our villas - 3.5 miles taking the shortcut to Disney - time wise, well ..... quick! I wont quote a 'time to Disney' simply because I think the actual distance to Disney is a far more accurate way to show guests where we actually are - which is one of the closest communities to Disney!

Nearest supermarkets: well there are 2 publix supermarkets on the 192, one east of Lindfields and one west of Lindfields, both a literally a few minutes drive from Lindfields -
It is also worth mentioning that the front entrance to Lindfields is also sat directly on the 192.

There is also a huge Walmart close by.

If there is anything specific you would like to know, please just give me a shout.

Hiya, we stayed at Lindfield Reserve last September for 2 weeks on a virgin holiday and it was excellent. We had heard, from people on this site, that the villa wouldn't be ok, but it was lovely and we also visited friends at other villas and they weren't half as nice as ours.

The villa was massive, quiet, clean, gated and secure. It was in a good position near all amenities for shops and for all the roads to the parks and also to easy access to highways to get to the other areas of Florida (Daytona, Tampa etc). We liked it that much we went to the office on site and got the email to check out prices if wanted to book direct.

The weather was a bit of let down, we have spoken to loads of people who travelled to Florida in most months in 2007 and they all had patchy stormy weather even in high season so expect a few thunder storms.

We weren't that impressed with Virgin but I think all holiday companies just take your money and run. However I would definitely recommend doing that as you are out on a limb a bit more if you book everything seperate and you don't save that much money. I costed it with the seperate flights, car hire and villa and it came out more expensive, in fact a mate of mine booked a package holiday to Florida and then booked a villa as well as it cheaper to do that.

Lindfields it one of the closest communities to the Disney Parks. As someone has already mentioned there are two Publix supermarkets not far away.

I'd also recommend a visit to Walgreens, it's much more than just a pharmacy:) There are loads of restaurants within a few minutes drive as well:grin:

Stayed in Lindfields on our last trip, and it is a brilliant place to stay. Nice quiet clean area. Close to disney, short cut along Funie Steed Rd onto Sherbeth road right next to Animal kingdom and the rest of the parks.
Lots of facilities close by as already mentioned.
We will definatly be staying in this area again.
I would recommend it to you.

Friends of ours stayed at Lindfields in 2006 and absolutely loved it!! it was their first time in a villa! they said it was very close to Disney and loved being on the doorstep of the 192!(they loved it so much they're returning in October this year!)
