My DH's birthday is on Xmas Day (the day we arrive). We are booked into the 1900 Park Fayre that evening and was wondering if I should arrrange a cake for the restuarant, was a bit worried as it's a buffet or should I arrange to have it delivered to our room (if they do this) the following day giving him time to enjoy it :spin:

Any suggestions ???

We had DD's 9th birthday at 1900 PF and had ordered a special cake from the bakery as a surprise unfortunately the order got completely screwed up and we had to play hunt the cake which needless to say spoilt the surprise. It was eventually found but by then it was all a bit of a let down. We had even checked at the podium when checking in that they had the cake order and they confirmed they did so I don't know exactly how or why it went so wrong!!!

If you can get it delivered to your room or sneak off and pick it up then that's what I would do after our experience.

I ordered a birthday cake for DSS during our last trip. He had it delivered in the Crystal Palace at the lunchtime buffet and it was fab. His favorite character is Goofy and so this is what we put on his cake. The characters all came and made big fuss of him when the cake was delivered and there was 'Happy Birthday' confetti all over the table along with streamers and a birthday card from Mickey!. He then danced round the room with others who were celebrating their birthdays and Winnie the Pooh and friends. All in all it was terrific and we were really glad we arranged for him to get the cake in a restaurant. Oh - forgot to mention it was his 18th birthday and he was slightly embarassed at having to dance but soon got into the swing of things :wavey:
