Hi

I was just wondering if the Mercado centre on I Drive still has free evening entertainment on? I know they did when i last went, but that was about 6 or 7 years ago!!

Thanks :spin:

Mercado has been demolished and is under construction for a new time share/hotel/retail center. It is going to be the closest thing we have to Vegas as they plan on have a big laser light show.

Cricketer Arms has moved to Festival Bay and they have entertainment through the week. You can get more info on the bands here (http://www.cricketersarmspub.com/the_bands.htm).

that looks promising!

I used to love mercado as a kid - its where we spent most evenings during those early trips. Was quite sad when I last went there 3 or so years ago and it was like a ghost town with 70% of the shops gone and most of the food court empty

The new development looks like it's going to be good. It's a shame the Mercado went downhill in recent years.

It is definately a shame! I used to go here when I was a kid with my parents, it was ace! The last time I went the best shop was a magic shop. It was quite funny when I showed him a card vanishing trick and the card was in his hand, he couldn't quite believe me and offered to sponsor me to move there. Whether that was a joke or not I couldn't tell but it was funny. I'm a magician by the way so was quite easy to fool a magic shop owner

I used to love the music and the arcades. Playing Virtua Fighter 2 before it come out in the UK was probably the most exciting thing I did as a kid! lol
