Hi, not sure if I'm being a bit thick but I am really struggling to understand how this site works, if you want to ask a question do you have to go to a specific forum, and then when you've posted a question how do you get back to it to find your answers, also can you just jump into a conversation as I answered something about Gatwick hotels earlier and I noticed that someone had put a thumbs down thingy in the title, not sure if I did something wrong or not, can't see what if I did, thanks for any help,
Tracey
separate tags using a comma???? what does this mean???
I really need help
If you want to ask a question ... just go to the relevant forum and post one. 99.9 times out of 100 you'll get answers, many of which are varied depending on peoples views!
If you think you have something to add to a thread, get in there and post away.
You can post icons next to posts or 'smileys' like these :) inside. It's entirely up to you.
Oh, and welcome to The Dibb.

 Hello and welcome sophiepop!
Don't worry you will soon get the hang of it. You've done OK with this post.
Find the forum you want to post in and click the 'new thread' button then type your question or comment and submit it. You will see replies below your post in the order they are made. To reply to an existing thread just click 'reply' and type your answer in the box.
When you look at the forum the posts will appear in the order they were last posted on, so more recent ones will be first, you can use the 'new posts' button to see all the new posts in all the forums if you prefer or you can view all the forums individually.
Tags are words you can use to help you find a post again when you search, you can add lots of these if you like.

Hello & Welcome to the Dibb
Everyone is friendly here, so just post away and i'm sure you'll get answers to any questions you have. Likewise if you can comment further on a question asked or have an opinion on something, go ahead and post it!
You'll get used to it and find that it's very addictive :D
Hi and a warm welcome to the dibb!!
Welcome to the Dibb ... :wavey:
You asked about finding your threads (questions) .. here is an easy way to keep track of which threads you've posted in.
Log into FORUMS, then click USER CP (this is in the dark blue line towards the left of the page .. you would have gone there to add your signature pic). Once in there, find EDIT OPTIONS (on left) and then scroll down to the 2nd section which is MESSAGES AND NOTIFICATIONS. In the 2nd section of that you will see DEFAULT THREAD SUBSCRIPTION MODE. This gives you the choice of what happens when you leave a question or answer a question on any thread. Choices are to have no email notification, not subscribe at all, instant email, once a week or once a month I think. Personally, I have it on DO NOT SUBSCRIBE as my default setting but if I post to a thread that I'd like to keep up to date with, I can subscribe separately to that one. This is how:
Post your message/question then scroll to the top of the page .. just above the first post is a dark blue line and the first option (right hand side) is THREAD TOOLS. Click the arrow and some choices appear, one of those being SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD. You can then choose instant, daily, weekly or no emails, then click SUBSCRIBE.
If you choose to receive instant emails, you will get one email the first time someone posts after you, not every time. It's basically a good way to remember which threads you're interested in.
You can delete your subscriptions once you have had enough of that thread by going to USER CP again. Your subscribed threads will show on that page for you.
Enjoy!! :d::spin:
