Has anyone been brave/stupid enough to do this?! I'm feeling the latter having agreed to do this if we can sort it out when we go next year....so here's my attempt to find out if the day of doom is actually possible :omg:
DBf would love to do this & I've somehow found myself agreeing to do it too, if we can find somewhere close enough. We'll be staying on I-Drive so it really has to be somewhere pretty close as we won't have a car. We don't mind getting a taxi as long as it's not really really far (it seems alot cheaper to skydive in the US than the UK so any taxi costs should still leave us 'up' to what we'd pay here...)
I look forward :erm: to seeing if anyone can help.......lol :confused2

I almost arranged this for myself and DS in Vegas last October. Only problem was after Vegas we were moving onto to Los Angeles and DW warned me if I broke any bones my life would not be worth living:pgig:
Its one thing I really want to do.

check your travel insurance - it might not cover "dangerous pursuits" !

I think I'm going to e-mail a few companies I've found & see if they can advise about transport. I mentioned hiring a car to my Dbf but he seems to think we can't because we're not 25 (we'll both be 23), does anyone know if this is correct?

LOL - hopefully I won't be needing to use the insurance, but thanks for the tip :pgig:

You can rent a car no problem, will just cost you a little more. Last time I looked it was about £8/day for the YDP.
One of best places is USrentacar, full details here http://www.usrentacar.co.uk/under25.htm

Hi Wayne - thanks for that, I didn't realise hiring a car was so cheap. Plus I thought you had to be 25. That makes things alot easier now!!

Florida Skydiving Center (http://www.floridaskydiving.com/FloridaSkydivingCenter/tabid/36/Default.aspx) is probably going to be your closest option. It would certainly be cheaper to hire a car for the day and not deal with taxi cost. That would really be a small fortune. The premium you will pay for being under 25 won't be as dear as the taxi rides would be.
The other option would be north of Orlando and it is called Skydive Deland (http://www.skydivedeland.com/). My cousin has thousands of jumps and he has jumped at the Deland location many times.

Hi - thanks for that. I'll have to 'convince' Dbf to hire a car...shouldn't take much convincing at all!! There's no way I could drive though..I think that's scarier than sky diving, lol :pgig:
