....nearly time to upgrade my phone and I can't find any Nokia phones that excite me. I currently have the N95.
has anyone got the Samsung Tocca? i'm a bit concerned about the touch screen as i'm a serial texter ( about 1800 - 2000 per month ) and after a short while the digits on my keys are all rubbed off, i just wondered whether a touch screen would be better or worse?

I have this phone and love it, it does take a bit of getting used to as I have always had Nokia phones too and when texting the space key is in a different place.

I'm thinking of getting this one too. What's the battery life like if you use the player? I'd be grateful for your opinion I've had a couple of Samsungs before and always liked them but the Z500 I had wasn't the best on battery life if I used the player or left the 3g on all the time.

I work in retail for a mobile phone company and for me, as a serial texter too, i wouldn't have a full touch screen . As i tend to text on the move (walking not driving!) and you have to be constantly looking at he screen to see what your doing. Where as you can feel your keys on an ordinary phone.

Other than that tho the battery is as good as any other..

I would defo recommend a demo of it before you sign into another agreement

thanks for that....I am a 'touch texter', i can touch text faster than i can type so maybe its time to consider something else :(

I have the Samsung Tocco and love it. It took a while to get used to tbh but nothing looks better or more impressive i dont think. Its quite similiar to the IPhone but slimmer with less features if you aent into all that. Personally i think the IPhones are a bit overrated.

I got the iphone in the end cos I wasn't sure about the lack of virtual qwerty keyboard for using the internet as it would probably drive me daft plus I looked at the size difference again and there isn't that much in it. Got to say the iphone does have it's negative points but It was the rest of the features that swung it for me but then I'm a terrible one for gadgets.
