DS12 is 13 next week and would dearly love his own laptop.
Thing is haven't got time to do a mad price check. Has anyone out there seen any good deals - doesn't have to be an all singin, all dancing thing - just one with a reasonable memory hecan play his games on and do homework
Thanks for your help

If you want just OK then this will do:-
http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?nav=227&lang=&product=SOLV004
If your not running Vista then 1gb ram will do, it's a cut down processor but it'll do a job and it's cheap enough.
But if you want a really good deal then for my money you can't beat this:-

With this don't forget to register with HP and you get £40 off and free delivery. To sum up £339 inc P&P for dual core AMD, 2gb ram, 120gb HD, built in webcam, WiFi and Vista Home Premium installed. Brand new and from HP really good make.
Hope this helps.
my mum and dad bought one currys with a gd spec, think it was around the £400 mark, but they threw in loads of free stuff, including a carry case, mouse, dvdrw, norton and so on, so i think they got a really good deal.
