Just wondered if there was any call for sample Itineraries that could be put as a sticky on here?
I was thinking of several different "styles" that people, especially first time visitors could either use as a starting point for making their own or for people to take inspiration from.
Ideas for sample itineraries could be:
First Timers 14 Days
First Time With Baby
Teens To Please Trip
Coaster Addicts
Couples Itinerary
14 Day Full On Extravaganza
21 Day Trip
7 Day Cram -it-all-in Trip
On a budget trip
etc etc etc
What does everyone think?

Ooh, yes please.
(from a 14 day first timer )
I think it would be a great idea Allie - I have done the 21 and now 18 day full on extravaganza. Would be happy to depersonalize those as one sample. (say the 14 day one)
Think they would need to be defined as Orlando area or Orlando and coast?

That would be fantastic. Another idea could that people could suggest seasonal itinaries such as Christmas, Easter, 4th July etc.
Any help with any itinary would be great though!!!!:wavey:

thats Ok if you are ONLY interested in Disney ;)

We'll be arriving Thanksgiving this year and I'd love one for that holiday weekend please!!!!!!!!!:thumbs-up
What about a form/table you can fill in, edit and print? I'm always scribbling things down on a big sheet of paper then having to rip it up and start again:tounge::confused2

I always do mine on excel, that way you can play around and when happy it is easy to print out. I aways use coloured fonts aswell to indicate which park, worth a try!!!

There are plenty of planners available - there are a couple on the DIBB - look on the menus on your left - choose DIBB stuff / downloads - there are a couple of planners there.
The idea of sample itineraries would be more a starting point for people - its very hard to make a "one size fits all" itinerary but the sample ones could follow certain themes and be more appropriate for different party sizes / demographics.
It would be a fair amount of work to compile so I'll check in with the powers that be to see if its wanted or needed as a sticky- if it is, then maybe a few veteran visitors could get together and sort something out between us??

This has been on my ToDo list for quite a while now, just haven't had the time to sit down and do them, if you are willing to create some sample ones then that would be great and I'll add them to the DIBB Web Pages.

Yes, OK Stu, I'll have a crack. I'll need some help so I'll be recruiting :D .
If you are willing to help with Sample Itineraries please PM me - I need "checkers" to look at and comment on itineraries and also any itineraries that you have used successfully yourselves. Im especially interested in those of you with teenagers or who go especially for big rides!!
Ideally Id like the "checkers" to be Florida veterans (5 trips or more as a guide) but Im open to offers from anyone happy to help :D .
Thanks!!

To some extent I agree - we will be going on trip number 14 this year and never use an itinerary these days, however I know how useful they were in our early trips. They are only meant as a starting point - a way to avoid missing things really, rather than a rigid plan (which will always be doomed to to failure!).
Thanks to all those that have offered to help - Im not ignoring you but my kids dont go back to school till next week - when they are back I'll have more time to finalise the plans and send them out to all of you that have offered help!!
