Hi im not sure if anyone can help our pc is just over 12 month old and went to turn it on and nothing happen at all it was just as if it wasnt plugged in but when we pulled the tower out and looked at the back we could see a light from where one of the leads was coming out does anyone have any ideas or is it dead?

The light at the back may be a network cable where your broadband is plugged in if you have this. other than that if there's nothing when you push the button it may be worth getting a local shop to take a look.

have you checked the obvious, fuses, plugs in all the way etc...

as above its prob the network cable (goes from ur pc to a router? )
if thats the case 1st guess would be a dead motherboard or CPU.
