Hi
I know there are lots of nature parks in Florida but can anyone please tell me of any that have good walkways - preferably paths? Last year we went to Lake Louise and there were no real paths and ended up walking through cobwebs and getting scared. :confused2
thanks duckies xx
Try Wekiwa Springs State Park. We went here in 2002 & had a great day. We went swimming but was very cold, then hired out canoes but my DW got scared because we saw an alligator then went for a walk. Numerous trails laid out. Take a picnic & have a great day. Here is their web site.

This is a great place to visit. Gets busy at weekends but quiet during the week.
There is a trails map to download on the site.
Hope this helps.

All depending on where you're going, would recommend Corkscrew Sanctuary down near Naples. It is run by the National Audubon Society (the US RSPB) and it has a 2.5 mile boardwalk all the way through it.
We have done it a few times now (DH is a bit of a twitcher, especially for birds of prey) and have seen plenty of wildlife, beautiful flowers, greenery etc - gators by the bucket load, raccoons, ostriches, bald eagles, eagles.
We also thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Homassassa Springs - manattee territory.

DeLeon Springs and Blue Springs always get my vote. I've taken the last few groups of friends/family there when they've come for a visit and all have left saying that was one of the best days they had. DeLeon Springs in the morning and hop over to Blue Springs by 1:00 for the 2 hour boat tour. (tour only happens twice a day)
