Hi
We're off to WDW in Sept for the first time - me, DH and DS(3). I've been reading all posts on this website and have received lots of useful info and tips - now to start and plan.
I've created a very high level itinerary and I would appreciate any comments that you may have

Sat Sept 20th - Rest - shopping- Medieval Times Banquet
Sun Sept 21st - EPCOT
Mon Sept 22nd - Hollywood
Tues Sept 23rd - Waterpark - Disney Quest
Wed Sept 24th - Seaworld
Thur Sept 25th - MK - breakfast with Chef Mickey - rest - back to MK

Sat Sept 27th -Gatorland - Shopping - Pool - Fantasmic

Hi
There is a Walmart on SR535, just along from Lake Buena Vista shopping outlets, this will be the closest Walmart to DTD.
It looks good.
For advice on the individual Disney parks check out www.touringplans.com which is a great resource.
I would do Universal and IOA rather than Boggy Creek and Gatorland.
I would also suggest you check out Green Meadows Petting Farm (unless you live on a farm here!) as it will be great for your 3yr old.

Thanks for replying - I'll look into these options

Hi there hazel...i am SOOOO sorry for not replying sooner i really am - please accept my apologies as you can see i've had a few and i haven't even started a couple of them....
Well i had this all written out this lunchtime and some silly person (to put it politely) decided to shut my pc down @ work :mad2: !! Lets see if i can remember what i'd wrote...
Here goes....
Tues Sept 16th - fly Manchester to MCO, picking up a hire car andstaying in POR. Would like to make a visit toWalmart -can anyone say which one isconvenient to DTD? As i've seen from above - you seem to have got this Q covered :)
Wed Sept 17th - AK - AK has EMH today - so if you could make the most of the EMH's in the morning (you'll probably find you're up quite early the first few morning anyway with the time difference), head back to your resort just after lunch for a bit of timeout and make way back to AK for the 4pm parade (that way you could also take advantage of at least an hour (depending on how tired you all are) of the evening EMH's too with fewer crowds than throughout the day
Thur Sept 18th - Seaworld i'm glad to see you've got two days at seaworld - in my opinion if you hadn't then you would've been pushing it, well may've even found it impossible, to see all the shows. To get the most out of your days at seaworld i highly recommend you check out http://www.seaworld.com/ParkHours.aspx?locID=1 now when you click on the specific days it gives you the show times (even though it just around the corner the 18 September is too far away to find out now what shows when but keep checking and study before you go otherwise you'll find you're stood around not only getting your feet but trying to make sure you're not going to miss out on anything which might take a while.
Fri Sept 19th - MK for breakfast in Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh. Todays Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party which i think its a good day to visit MK - it won't be that crowded as people will visit other parks that are open later (today MK shuts to the public @ 7pm with the opportunity to buy an additional ticket to stay for the MNSSHP). I say stick this day, if you can, until the parade - theres no fireworks so in theory the 3pm parade is all thats on. Whilst you around MK after the parade you could always take the monorail to either the polynesian resort or floridian resort if you fancy a nice stroll around (can even check out their beaches - but remember to take a small towel if you do  !)
Sat Sept 20th - Rest - shopping- Medieval Times Banquet
Sun Sept 21st - EPCOT Because you're heading back to Epcot later on in the holiday i personally think you needn't be that bothered about staying so late in order to see the fireworks @ 9pm because you can see them on 28th...if so then i'd concentrate on the futureworld on Epcot today - if you get there at opening then you may well be done come lunchtime or just after. If you are then again just take some time out - take the boat across to the boardwalk for a look around (1. I'm not sure where the boat goes from in epcot i'm guessing somewhere around the world showcase and 2. you may well be able to park there that day and save on the parking (as its free!) but i'm sure someone on here will be able to help you.
Mon Sept 22nd - Hollywood - again has EMH's today - if can get there early, head back to resort lunchtime-ish and make way back for dinner and possibly fantasmic (however i'm not sure if it would be a 3 yr old's cup of tea - you might want to think about that)...if not the park will be virtually empty when both Fantasmic shows are on (8pm & 9.30pm) and you've got the evening EMH's if you can stay that late...
Tues Sept 23rd - Waterpark - Disney Quest - i'm not sure if you've decided which water park to do but can i recommend Typhoon Lagoon purely for the location (with you wanting to visit DTD too) although you might want to check out, if you haven't already which is more suitable for a 3 yr old
Wed Sept 24th - Seaworld [see above]
Thur Sept 25th - MK - breakfast with Chef Mickey - rest - back to MK Again, EMH's...(you're getting good at this :d:!)...if you don't get to see the 3pm on the 19th then you have to head back for that - little one will love it !! Plus theres Spectromagic at 8pm and Wishes at 9pm
Fri Sept 26th - Boggy Creek and Kissimmee now unfortunately i've not been to either of these so i won't even try to help :confused2
Sat Sept 27th -Gatorland - Shopping - Pool - Fantasmic Again, never been to gatorland and i'd missed you'd popped in fantasmic here .... FYI fantasmic is @ 8pm today and there EMH's....
Sun Sept 28th - Rest - EPCOT nighttime - as i'd said previously to concentrate on futureworld then today you can concentrate on the world showcase - if you are staying around here for something to eat then make reservations ASAP !! Majority of the countries around the world book up FAST !!
Mon Sept 29th -Back to fav place
Tue Sept 30th - DTD and prepare to come home
Now i think thats everything, man i can talk :d: - just a few tips (that i'll probably add to when i think of - my heads spinning at the minute :spin: :d:-
If you can (and want to of course) check out the photopass - its highly recommended and a great keepsake - http://www.disneyphotopass.com/
Wherever possible get to the parks at opening - the parks all have 'opening ceremonies' where the characters come out and welcome you into the parks.
Hope this helps...let me know what you think...

Boggy Creek and Gatorland turned out to be one of the best days on our holiday as you get to see some of the real Florida. It also gives you a break from the parks and little one will love it. Unfortuatly I disagree with the previous post about being finished in Future World EPCOT by lunch time. We arrived for rope drop, walked straight on to some of the rides (Test Track for example) and were still in Future world at 6 PM, we didn't even get into the Innovations Pavillions, so plan to spend some time in this part of the park.

With all due respect mutley, and forgive me if i'm wrong hazel but hazel has a 3 yr old...meaning, unless they decide to do the baby swap (if thats what its called :confused2) or take it in turns then they won't be able to do rides such as mission: space, test track even soarin' (even though i highly recommend them all hazel ).....if that is the case and you're there at opening hazel then you'd probably find you're done 'just after lunchtime'....
That said theres no rush so just take your time...
Hi
I appreciate all your comments. Unfortunately DS is not tall enough - he's 39 inch and for some of these rides he would need to be 40. Child swap is an option but we will need to look at the queue as he'll be really disappointed if he thinks he's queuing for a ride to discover he cant go on.
We do plan to take it easy ....more reason to go back then

Have a great time you'll just beat us there!!
Hi
I can't help with your itinerary, but we fly from Gatwick to MCO on the 16th also staying at POR. We are also at AK on our 1st day after having breakfast at Cape May Cafe. So we may bump into each other without knowing it. I hope you have very good weather of course and a great holiday.
