hi
does anyone know if there are any companies who do a package where you can get a inclusive deal to bahamas, by that i mean the cheap way with discovery cruise lines and including your transport (eg bus) from orlando preferably i-drive.

I remember the first time i went to florida was 9 yr ago and we took a weekend trip there. We were picked up at hotel by bus went to miami spent a few hours there, then flew to bahamas spent a night there and came on the discovery cruise coming back. Only problem is i cannot find the company who did that as we booked it via a thomson rep and i dont think they do them anymore.

Reason i ask is there is 6 of us and we would prefer not to drive there, and we would just like to go on the boat there stay 1 or 2 nights and come back by boat.

Thanks in advance

I did the same trip 10yrs ago! It was superb but I haven't been able to find one with a similar itinerary. It was with Thompson if I remember correctly. Maybe it was something they packaged together? My holiday is with Virgin this year and they don't offer anything along those lines for excursions. Hopefully someone will come along soon who does know of one as I would also be interested for the next trip.

looks like virgin (http://www.virginholidays.co.uk/brochures/florida/info/excursions/in_resort.aspx) offer it, or you can book direct with Discovery Cruise line (http://www.discoverycruiseline.com) but no bus from Orlando if you do that - they might be able to tell you who run a bus from Orlando though

We drove to Fort Lauderdale and went on the Discovery cruise to the Bahamas in June , we only did the day cruise but on the Discovery website there is a cruise and stay option which should be fine for you , Sorry can't help you with transport to the port as we drove down , its a very easy drive though . Bear in mind that if you use Discovery you have to board early (6.30 am) .We had read a lot of bad reports about Discovery but we enjoyed it .
