I downloaded the trial verson on office 2007 for the free 60 days at my work pc. It really did not work for us as there was no one else who uses it, so now the trial has ended I do not want to upgrade. However, now any document we made in 07 can not be used or printed or saved in any other format. I tried to uninstall it, but it is not on the list for add or change programmes. I am totally stuck and unable to do very much work (which normally would excite me) and it is driving me crazy. Is there anyone who can help?

We had a similar problem as we use office 2007 and no other companies we deal with use it, If you still have office 2007 you could save the files in office 97-2003 file type that will enable you to open the files in your older version.

If you dont have a copy you could down load a viewer from the link below

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HA100444731033.aspx

thats for word, they have them for other file types as well excel, Powerpoint etc. Just type in office 2007 viewer into google

Hope that helps

Cheers, but it wont let me save any of the 2007 files as 2003. I cant do anything with the 2007 files that is the problem - I can open them, but not change them in any way.

Jentill are they word doc's or other stuff? depending on how many there are you should be able print and using a scanner scan them to your version of word. If there is not too many PM me and I may be able to convert them for you if your company is ok with that

We use Office 2007 and like it, and for documents going outside the company we just save as them as previous versions.
Can you not open them and then save them as another name and version?

Or has your trail version run out?

if so, get another trial version on another computer and then save as them as a Word 97-2003 document. (rouns multi couloured button at top of screen and then "save as")

That is the problem, I can open them, but can not change them at all. Thus can not save as the 2003 version or print them or copy and paste them into another document! It is really frustrating. I have tried to register for anothe trial under another email address, but it does not work - it downloads it all over again but the programme does not run.

Thanks everyone for your thoughst and help - please keep them coming ;)

do you know anyone else who has the 2007 version?

if so you could save them to a portable drive-take them to your friends and open there, then resave as 97-2003 version.long-winded i know-maybe less hassle to upgrade

Have you tried re-installing the 2003 version? It may sort things out:o:

I'm assuming that you are still able to get to a fully working earlier version of office. If so give this a go, it's an article from Microsoft about a compatibility pack you can install for earlier versions of MS office so that you can open Office 2007 files
