Pop ups

Does anyone know how I can stop my DD's computer from having pop ups coming up all the time they really get on our nerve.:mad2:

Also why it takes so long for it to start up.

It sounds like it's infected with something.

You can stop pop ups, but I can't remember how sorry.
I don't get them, but hubby sorted it for me.

You could use a pop up blocker, if you have the Google toolbar there is one on there.

Hi.
If you are using internet explorer 7 you just go to the tools tab at the top right hand corner, when you open it up you will see an option which is pop-up blocker. From there you can adjust the options and turn the pop up blocker on. If you are using xp or vista you should be on ie7 :thumbs-up

Thanks! but I have tried this but still not working they are getting on my nerves keep popping up on screen.:mad2:

usinga pop up blocker isnt actually solving the problem if you've been infected with something. You need to run a spyware checker and remove whatever is causing the problem

Yeh your right Bev I will have to do that cause its a pest now.:(
