We are travelling back to Florida for a week in late October and the wife has forgotten that while we are away the final F1 Grand Prix race is on Sunday 2nd November... I absolutely CANNOT and WILL NOT miss this and she wouldnt want me to either.
Does anyone know of somewhere we can watch it, we have hired a villa but I doubt very much it is broadcast on US TV...
Please help me otherwise I will come home 2 days early!!!

If you are in a villa with cable tv the speed channel will show it live OR if the villa has internet take your lap top and watch it online. We paid £9.50 for a lifetime subscription to watch online and when we logged on we got ITV coverage! Incidently you cannot watch BBC or ITV online video coverage online just bu opening the sites you get a message saying they are only for watching in the UK.
Cannot remember the site we registered with for online coverage just did a google search and browsed.

I would think either the Cricketers Arms at Festival Bay or the George and the Dragon Pub on IDrive near Wet and Wild, i'm going the first week in October, i could nip in Past and ask them if they are showing it if you like, itl be a good excuse for a nice cool drink.

it is broadcast on US TV on a cable channel, watched it last year in our villa. Think the channel was called need for speed or something will try and find out more
Edited to add it is Fox Sports Speed Channel (http://autoracingsport.com/uncategorized/fox-sports-and-speed-tv-to-broadcast-f1-races-in-us-through-2009/) that broadcasts F1 in the US - perhaps your villa owner will be able to tell you if his cable package includes this channel

Since it is the last race you are after it might even be on one of our main channels. They sometimes have it but seeing as it is in November I think our NFL will come first. Like someone else said you will be able to find it on cable tv so you really won't have a problem. My DH watches it regularly now that we live here.
The pubs that were mentioned would be a good option but you don't have to limit yourself to them. Any of our sports bars would be able to show it for you.

Many thanks for your help. I have asked the villa owner and their satellite package does not include the channel I need :(

I was in a similar position last year. we were all booked up staying in a villa in Kissimmee and I was going to miss two races, Montreal and Indianapolis. Them my brain started to work – how far is Indianapolis from Orlando – only one and a half hours flying.
Soothe family of four travelled on Saturday morning watched the race and returned on Sunday night….fab experience.
I was also trying to find somewhere to watch the Montréal race and as luck had it our villa had the Speed channel and they were broadcasting it live. I believe that they don’t normally show the F1 but as a special they were showing the Canadian and American races. So to summarise I think you will struggle to find it on the telly.

F1 is shown on cable here. They even broadcast the qualifying live sometimes. Many of our sports bars will have the ability to show it but it may not be on when you get there. Typically most places are willing to turn the channel on one of the tv's for you so just ask at the bar. This is pretty standard so it won't be a problem for you to ask.
