Hi,

My DW is a primary school teacher and got lots of great resources at Clever Classrooms in Clermont last year.

Does anyone know if it's still open?

Are there any other recommendations for picking up teaching supplies in Orlando?

Thanks:wave:

Can't comment on the shop in Clermont, but I got loads of cheap items from Publix last year. I bought ballpoint pens, white coard markers, certificate paper, notepads etc really cheap!!!!

Thanks for the replies.

Didn't think to look on the web as it was a small independant store:blush:.

In response to the others, if you are after teaching resources, this place is great, but a little bit away from the usual shopping venues. My DW picked up lots of stuff for her classroom displays, kids rewards, posters etc.

Any info on similar stores would be most welcome.

Thanks

I have always found Walmart to be great for stickers etc, especially around back to school time. For more specialised resources like posters, manipulatives etc I always used the Teachers Shop on Orange Avenue - I spent a fortune in there every year - noticed a big difference in our spending money this year as I have retired. We usually went on the day we visited the Florida Mall as it wasn't very far from there.

Just looked at my catalogue - they are called Miller's School Supplies and have two stores. You can look at their catalogue on line

521 East SR 434

I just rang the number for Clever Classrooms (http://www.cleverclassrooms.com/home.html) and they are still open for business. My other suggestion would have been Miller's School Supplies (http://www.millersschoolsupplies.com/).

An option for those that might be going to the Cypress Gardens area would be a place called The Learning Curve (http://www.thelearningcurvefl.com/). They've just opened a new store in that area. But you can look at a catalog online.

The only other one I can think of is Lakeshore Learning (http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/home/home.jsp). It would be around the Altamonte Springs area. They do international orders so that might be useful to some of you.
