I am having my daughters christened in September (12 & 1 - don't ask!) and I'm fine for an outfit for the baby but haven't got a clue what the older one should wear.
I'm thinking maybe just a white/ivory summer dress as I know she'll object to wearing a pretty pretty dress. Maybe Monsson may still have something in their sale.
Any ideas:confused2

Next have a lovely trouser suit for girls - I think in both pink and ivory - it is really nice and would look great for this kind of occasion. It is in their wedding section.

Monsoon do have fab stuff though.

A trouser suit could be a good idea, does she have to wear white/ivory or is it now like wedding dresses where any colour is OK

Well we've been shopping and I wish I'd done it sooner as there's not much inthe shops at the moment. She doesn't want a trouser suit neither does she want a bridesmaid type dress.
She picked a cotton white dress from Next which was in the sale but I don't think it's smat enough. Her baby sister has a beautiful silk dress from Monsoon, I also have a silk dress so am worried that she will not feel as dressed up.
I suppose the fact that she is happy with the dress is all that matters and think myself lucky that we found something:grin:
Has anyone been to a christening of someone of her age (12) or older and if so what did they wear?

I typed this when my daughter was signed in without realising so this may read strangely!
