Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of a good but more importantly cheapish place to buy American foods in the UK? I've seen Cyber Candy and Stateside Candy but they're both so expensive :(

Unfortunately there aren't many cheap options. When I was living there I had a few places I'd go (Cyber Candy being one) and then my family would bring me suit cases of it when they came for a visit. One place I did go on a regular basis was Panzers (http://www.panzers.co.uk/). They had the best selection overall but it did come with a price.

I think I'll have to just bite the bullet and pay the extra! You'd think I would just wait till I go, how bad can it be? Well I actually wrote a letter to Kelloggs to ask them why they hadnt brought Froot Loops over to the UK and I was quite upset when they told me they never would :( Something to do with the food colourings.

I know this sounds silly but have you tried the gdn centres. Not sure where you reside but our local centre has a selection of American foods - small but nice. We lived in the states so my kids do mis some of the foods - espeically goldfish!!!!!
Our gdn centre is called longacres - may have one near you. They do have a website - check them out!!

I'm just waiting for the day I can get Mint Cream Oreos over here...it's a tragic waste of a biscuit to only sell it in the US! :D

I'm sure you can get them in Selfridges. Its only about £300 a packet as well.

There are a few ebay sellers that will shop for you and post to the UK (actually better rates than some UK ebayers):erm: I've used one to get my fix of flavoured coffee mate and was impressed with the speed of delivery.:spin:

Maybe I should consider opening up a Dibb grocery service so that I can send over everyone's favorite items.

For those who live in London, Partridges do a pretty good selection of American groceries and prices aren't as bad as the likes of Selfridges.

For anyone who likes Fruit Loops, Lidls do a version (fruit rings I think they're called) which taste quite like Fruit Loops.

Anyone know where you can get Peanut Butter M&M's over here. I did find a website selling them however they were £5.99 for a large bag plus £4.99 delivery, now I love Peanut Butter M&Ms but not enough to pay £11 for one bag !

And we can bring you Marmite, Colmans English mustard, Old English Marmalade, Oxo cubes (perhaps they're not allowed), shortbread.......

I've used Stateside Candy co in the past, to get my fix of Golden Grahams, Lucky Charms and Orville Redenbachers Butter popcorn (They've started selling OR over here, but they don't do the really buttery version)

They do free delivery on orders over £50 (which is easy to reach), so I chip in with the family and we just do one big order :)

Not really, it was an honest mistake. Why do people use those annoying contractions on message boards?

I arranged a visit to RAF Mildenhall for a Photographers get together, and for the first time on a base visit we got the chance to buy there stuff. Hersheys bars, Almond snickers, butterfingers, M&Ms all types, various drinks, lucky charms, pop tarts etc This is the first time that a trip on to base has cost so much, but there exchange rate was for every $2.10 was a pound in our money.:spin::spin:

The Bentalls centre in Kingston Surrey has a selection of American produce including cereals, biscuits, sweets etc. Not sure how expensive they are though.
