I found out about this from Craig's many excellently informative trip reports. I know there are choices of boats for 6 or 10 people. I spoke to my mum and dad and they would love to do it so them plus us makes a 6 but I haven't been able to ask my O/H's DS yet as she is away. Can anybody tell me what the main differences are between the 6 and 10 person cruise? Is it just a case of whether you get refreshments or not?

Also we are going in April - I believe that is Florida's driest month but has anyone done this in April who can tell me how warm or cold, dry or wet it might be. Are the cruises ever cancelled due to adverse weather and if so do they attempt to re-book you on for an alternative night?

Sorry for all the questions! As I have mentioned on another thread, I am chief planner so I need as much info as I can muster!

Thanks guys.:thumbs-up

I'm pretty sure that the three boats available for the Illuminations Cruise are all 10 person ones. There is Breathless as well (a speed boat thingy) that may take less but is more expensive.
Refreshments -sodas, crisps and I'm not sure what else are included in the price

They warn you at time of booking that the fireworks are a perk of this cruise and are not guaranteed. The boat will leave generally regardless of weather (unless it's a hurricane and April is not the season for those!) and that you will be expected to pay unless you cancel. Cancellations must be 48 hours beforehand. So there is no opporunity to rebook.
Also - the boats for all the following nights are likely to be taken, these cruises are very hard to get. 3 boats only - you must ring bang on 7am there and 90 days exactly ahead of when you want it - or you are most unlikely to get one.
Wishes cruises are easier to get - there are more of them leaving from 4 WDW resorts.

If you are successful and have spare places you can offer them to people here on the thread that is a sticky in Trip Planning.

I have both a Wishes and Illuminations cruise booked for August and September coming - sharing the first with 2 Dibbers and the second with 5.

Thanks Sue. I had seen from Craig's trippies that people on here share cruises but as I said there are definitely 6 of us interested and maybe 10 so we can fill a boat on our own!

Where do I find info on Wishes cruises please? The WDW website was pretty sparse on cruise info when i looked last night - unless I was looking in the wrong place!

There is a bit of information HERE (http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/spcruise.htm)

and the Dibb sticky is HERE (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=144624)

There does not seem to be that much information, except word of mouth!
