We normally use the Disney buse's when going to WDW,but next year intend to take the hire car if the bus queues are long. Is it true that if you are staying in a Disney hotel that you don't have to pay for parking at the parks? If so,do you get some sort of pass to display in the car window? Also, how long does it take to walk into the entrance if you end up parking in a car park near the back-is it worth waiting for the little cart thingy to take you to the entrance:confused2

:D Yes always use the shuttle trains as they save your legs:D
I think you get a pass if staying on site so no parking fees:D

You will get a pass to show at the pay stations, you won't need to display it in your windscreen whilst parked though.

It all depends on where you are parked, quite often it is much quicker to just walk to the entrance, especially if you are at the wrong end of the row to which the trains are at. We probably did abt 50/50 with walking and taking the train.

When you check in you'll be given a parking pass for free parking at the parks, just display it when you enter the parking lot.

The trams will save you some walking but sometimes it can be quicker to walk, those parking lots are huge and the walk to the park gate could be a long one.

Try to park near the tram stop. Its OK to walk to the park from the car but oh on the way back!!!

And yes if staying on site parking at parks is 'free'. You get a piece of paper that dates your last day at WDW resort.

We rarely use the WDW transport to and from parks as we tend to come and go a bit.

You will get a ticket that shows you are staying at a disney, you just show that at the booths when driving up to the park and thats you.

Yep, yout get a piece of paper from your hotel - you just show that to the people in the ticket booth and bingo. As for the trams, depends how close you are parked sometimes it is quicker to walk.
