My Dh & Ds both wear them all the time:)
DH now has a pair of black caymans, I talked him into getting them as house shoes/slippers now he wears for short trips in the car, to his parents and has said he's taking them to Florida to try them in the parks. Its the comfort wins you over in no time.
My DH also has black caymans and loves them and he is normally a trainer man. I think you have nothing to lose by trying them
:tinkani::P1x1e_Dust::tinkani:
Same here DH was taking trainers but is now taking crocs and trainers just in case.
I'm taking only crocs!

We brought my older brother (56) his first pair back from Vegas in June and he has already given us an order for when we go to Mount Dora in November.

dh bought his black cayman's on our first trip over there 3 years ago... has had them on today too
My DH is buying another pair to take offshore .
They are almost part of the uniform on an oilrig/platform .
I am a little worried however as he has size 12 feet and wants another yellow pair they might just be mistaken for a lifeboat .

You want to try the Athens flip flop style, they are for men and women and will suit a surfer dude!!!! Have a look on www.taylorshoes or www.sweetfeet.co.uk
Up to the men I suppose, but as a Croc hater - I would not be prepared to be seen with a guy wearing them:omg:
I saw a lot of our senior citizens all getting on a coach at a bus stop on the way to work this morning - half of them were wearing Crocs. I rest my case:D

DH (33) absolutely hated them until a couple of weeks ago. He is an avid trainer fan, and won't be seen dead in either flip flops or any other sandals. He thinks they are vile. He tried his cousins on (very trendy) and fell in love! He's planning on getting a khaki coloured pair when we get there.

DH bought his at MCO as soon as we arrived and never took them off until we got back into the UK :)
He couldn't believe how comfy they were and is thinking about getting some Athens Crocs this year :spin:

I have been trying to convince DH to get a pair for weeks to wear on in Florida. Managed to convince him to try a pair on the other day but he still didn't appear overly keen until yesterday when we were out shopping and I suggested an alternative to which I was told 'I thought we were getting crocs at MCO':d::d:
Seems he may be a convert.

Can I jump in. WHat size would you get though, would it be actual shoe size or go for size larger. I thought I heard to get size larger but am not sure.

i bought a pair last year in Florida, always worn trainers or birkenstocks around parks, really comfy and still wear them in the garden at home, will probably pick up another pair this time.
Both me and OH bought our normal size. I am a UK 8 and buy US M8 W10 and OH is a UK 9 and buys US M9 W11
They feel big when you first put them on, they are supposed to. They are hopefully going to be perfect for the parks, comfy, lightweight, dry easily and don't smell.

Hi :wavey:
It really depends on the style, but they are supposed to be worn a little bigger for comfort :pgig:
Just try some on and see what feels the best!!!:spin:

My DH thought they were ugly;) but I bought him a pair of navy caymans,he wears them in the house and says he will take them to wdw,I think they look ok on men with 3/4 length shorts, they are not a fashion statement:blush: but who cares?:d:

I'm definitely going to be getting a pair when we're over there. Most of the time when I go to a theme park I wear my hard wearing sandals as they are great on the water rides, so I'll be using those on rollercoaster days and then the crocs on the others, I'm planning on getting a pair of Khaki Caymans or Beach, not entirely sure what the difference is between those.

I finally caved in on my way out of MCO last time and bought a pair of those 'off road' (their description, not mine;)) Crocs.
They're handy to have laying about to slip on to go out into the garden and I imagine I'll wear them to and from the pool and to the water parks. I'm not convinced about wearing them in the theme pars though. People will see me and everything! ;)
I'll post a piccy of them when I make it into the office.
Dh wears his all the time at home but after walking round alton towers last weekend in his trainers he has decided that his crocs are going to be the choice of footwear for the parks when we go they look really cool with shorts but please noooo socks!!!!!!!!!!;)

:pgig::pgig::pgig: Oh that cheered me up no end..thank you :D
I bought DH a pair of black caymans because he is suffering from inflamed tendon sheaths in both his heels and is in a lot of pain. He wears them around the house and is getting some comfort from them but hasn't dared venture out of the house in them yet. Am going to get him some of the shoe type ones when in Florida for him (and me) to wear to work.
I believe SnapperJohn has several pairs :D ;)

I am probably the only Dibber to have worn Crocs to dinner at Victoria & Alberts :thumbs-up - or to have gotten away with it at least, but they were very special Crocs.

Yes.... I caved in to my DGF's obsession with crocs last year at WDW. After the first couple of days of flip flops rubbing, I bought a pair of Disney Crocs, and I think they will be the only footwear going with me this year (except for the trainers I wear to the airport of course).

I wasnt that bothered with crocs, but didnt want to suffer with hot sore feet, so I took the plunge and got some khakki caymens, and they are comfy and at least on the wet rides I wont have a problem with soggy trainers. I dont care if I look like a wally in them as no one knows me in florida, well apart from you lot :pgig:
Crocs will be a fasion disaster by next year. Keep clear!

Comfort over fashion EVERY time - who are you trying to impress in a theme park ? :erm:

But they are NOT comfortable if you have a small bunion on your left foot - they rub like hell on it!:nonono:
My Nike Free's are like a pair of suede slippers and not hot either as they are not leather and really light:thumbs-up

Wish my DH would read some of these comments i am trying to get him into a pair for our trip-he is a trainer and sock guy who moans when they get all wet and squidgy.I did manage to get him to buy some fake crocs when we were in Majorca earlier this year but the strap broke and that was that.I will perservere as they are so cheap over there.I have some pink caymens and black mary janes soooooo comfy.
My dh wears Crocs Scutes (http://www.jellyegg.com/Crocs/Crocs-Sandals/sc1276/p18.aspx) on holiday he loved them and he's planning on wearing them again this time.

DH swore he would never, ever, ever wear a pair, but last August he asked if we were popping into the Croc shop at MCO ;) and he bought a Khaki pair! They're the only shoes he wears in the parks now and i no longer have to put up with his stinky, sweaty trainers polluting our hotel room!!!! Hooray!!! :D

I didn't buy mine until we came back home from Florida last year.
I hardly took them off when we went to Tenerife, they're sooooo comfy & I wish I'd discovered them much earlier!

thanks for the replies folks
the fashion thing will serve me well, as it seems for the last few years " surf wear" is the thing to wear, it annoys me a little as i was wearing it more than 20 years ago ( as i surfed ) now you cannot walk down any high street without ALL the surfwear shops :(

Just wondered if you noticed in MCO if they had NFL Crocs. DH would love a pair but said he will only wear them if they are of the New York Jets. Not sure if the would have them in the MCO shop. TIA

I wore a pair solid last year, they are so comfy I wouldn't wear anything else round the parks. Already got them packed for next Friday
when they came out I hated the look of them!! so I got a pair of the cheap ones and wow they are so comfy, I wear them occasionally now and DH got some and he wears them all the time especially around the house etc, I think we will get some nice new ones for our holiday :D I have to say they do look silly but they have some new designs out and some are quite nice, like the mary janes :)
Apart from when I'm at work, they're basically all I wear now! And they're the only shoes I'm taking to Florida with me... and I'll buy a proper pair when I get there as mine are only £2.99 copies.
Although I'll also be buying some proper trainers and shoes there, too...
My DH seems to live in his when he's not at work, and I've noticed my dad borrows my mum's all the time too.

I live in my Crocs sinced getting my first pair 2 months ago and can't wait to try them in the parks in a few weeks. However I want some more so can any of you direct me to the Croc shop at MCO for instance is it airside or after customs clearance.
