Fax from pc?

I rember years ago I could fax from the computer.

many computers later and never had the need to use fax so am totaly lost as to how it was done.

can any kind dibber explain to me how I can send a fax from my computer.

Yes you can send a fax from the computer, but you will need a telephone line to be able to transmit and receive faxes and a fax modem installed, I think I've still got an old one here that I used to use on the internet when I used to use dailup many years ago.

I can't fax but when I have needed to I have scanned in the relevant document and sent it as an e-mail attachment.

Spme interenet providers offer the facility for fax and phone. I know tiscali. do you sign up and can accept faxes free but costs to send them.. The come through via email and you can print them if required
