View Full Version : Cinderella's Royal Table review on DIS Unplugged
"A failure on every single level other than the location." - a line from the summary of an absolutely damning review of CRT from Kevin on this week's DIS Unplugged.
I didn't think it was awful , but would have to say I don't think it is as fantastic as it is made out to be not even close ! Very expensive and mediocre imho.
Not being a fan of MK anyway, I've always thought this package was the ultimate rip-off...

Totally agree!!!
Only did it once and wouldn't do it again unless one of my DDs really, really wanted to.
If you really need to see Cinderella, 1900 Park Fare is far better in my opinion.

I've always said that about CRT. It's the location that sells it for us not the food. With the exception of breakfast (which wasn't too bad), we've always been disappointed with lunch and dinner. It always amazes me that with the high calibre of chefs that Disney clearly has, they can't come up with a truly fantastic menu worthy of such a wonderful location.
Doesn't stop us going back though;)

I must admit....I agree about the food...but the location is fabulous and that alone would make me go back:) wouldnt even wait to see what DD wanted to do:blush: I went for my 39th birthday and I loved it:o:

:omg: This sounds really bad...Is it too late to cancel:confused2
It is def about the location and for us an occasion for little princesses. Rest doesnt really matter.

I don't think it is really bad and we enjoyed the food , but for the cost and location I guess we imagined more and tbh the character interaction and experience was very weak for us. But it is probably one of those things you have to try for yourself.

We went for Dinner last year, we were there just for the castle really and leaving just before wishes we had a packed main street looking at us wondering why we were up there but as far as food goes, i would have liked the option of the kids meanu as there were no starters i could eat and the mains were nothing special.

Ive not eaten here since the revamp (i.e since the price sky rocketed and the "show" thing was added) but we did do 3 breakfasts and a lunch or two under the old scheme. lunch was never billed as a character meal, but Cinderella DID make an appearance and the kids were allowed to visit her for photos and autographs - she even did a brief circuit of the tables - just waving. Breakfast had shedloads of princesses and they all stopped for chats and photos...the food was never my cup of tea at breakfast, but there was lots of it and it was nicely cooked. The lunches we had were actually superb...nothing like described in this recent review. DH and I had crab cakes I believe and filet mignon for mains which was lovely.
This sounds awful and Im glad my DD is outgrown the "Princess thing" - although she still wants to do Park Fare as the characters there are just so good and food - AMAZING! I'll be passing on that CRT is definately one to miss from now on - go to Park Fare instead!!

Did this in March this year. Food was terrible but location was fab. Might try a breakfast but never the main meal - steak was 70% fat - a great big slice of it for my DH. I pretended to not be hungry so he could have mine - well it was his birthday.

we did it last year, and i whilst i can understand any negative things about the food, the chance to see most of the princesses in calm cool surroundings with no need to queue (except to have pic taken at the start with cinders) it was worth it to see the look on my DD7 face.

We've had breakfast there twice & thoroughly enjoyed everything the food, the service and character interaction when you add the venue you've got the lot! Absolutely brilliant! Don't know about lunch and dinner though!
Also had a breakfast at 1900 park fayre - Again the food was good, although buffet style, service was good too as was te character interaction - but the location failed - you have to go out of your way to get there (unless your staying there) and there wasn't much of an atmosphere, a bit too "clinical" - a little chef with characters if you like.
