trying to install McAffe free with sky broadband

:wavey:trying to install the free (for a year) Mcaffe that came with the sky broadband installtion disk, we tryed it a few weeks back, but had no luck and just thought we try again some other time, last night we put in the disk again and sat around for 3 hours while it installed, and the bar to show the process was moving but very slowly, in the end we had to go to bed, weve now had the disk in and running since 10am this morning and its still not done, the bar showing how far its gone is at the end or very close i cant tell, but has been like this for 3 hours, im loosing my rag with it, please help anyone :wavey:

Had McAffe once, never again. Ours was a freebie but once installed it was a nightmare causing more problems than enough, also took ages to get rid of as it 'worms' it's way in everywhere. Now use the free version of AVG.

Whats AVG?
Hopefully ill be getting Nod put on it this week, but dont like being with out virus software (we have another comp which im on now) but all the itunes and stuff are on the other one which my DBF uses for work everyday

We gave it up as a bad job, and put norton on it instead. Works fine no problems.

it nearly did get thrown out the balcony doors,
yeah its nice very comfy too, much better than grandmas old one :pgig:

we tried the free McAfee stuff when we went with Sky last year - dont bother it absolutely killed our laptop & my DB (computer buff) spent ages putting it right = it seemed to get into everything & slow it right down & caused major issues, go with the free AVG as previously posted.
