This will be our third vist to Orlando and we've never been to City Walk. I thought it mainly consisted of nightclubs, but wondered if there was more to it than that. Are there shops and restaurants there and is it worth visiting with kids (16 and 13)?

The nightclubs are for adults, most don't allow under 21's, but there are some great shops for teenagers and lots of good restaurants. Our teens love Nascar Grille, Margaritaville and the Hard Rock Cafe. There is also a cinema and the Hard Rock Live venue which has some great bands, you can check out who is playing while you are there on their website here (http://www.hardrock.com/live2/live.asp).

Shops, restaurants - inc the fab Bubba Gumps (based on move Forrest Gump), Margarittaville (with an exploding volcano), Hard Rock Cafe with all the memorabillia, NBA - inc the best jamballaya you will find out of New Orleans!!
There are a couple of fairground type side shows, stalls, sometimes a show on the stage there, you can get the free water taxis over to the Universal hotels for a neb. We love CityWalk for a couple of hours on a night.
Parking is free after 6pm :wavey:

Thanks for all your advice. It definitely sounds as though it's worth a visit, especially now I know there is a Bubba Gumps there - went to the one at Daytona Beach last year and thought it was fab:grin: Off to add it in to the itinery:)

I think early evening is fine for kids at city walk.
