Try and get them in England, they are quite expensive in DC. We got them for a fiver in Tesco, the only ones we couldn't get were for my 3year old. We had to pay $16 in DC for his.

Do you have to have pool shoes for Discovery Cove? I haven't thought about this. We've all got flip flops but no pool shoes. Do I need to go shopping?

Your not allowed to wear them when your in the water with the dolphins but you can wear them everywhere else.
Some of the other pools have rocks when you first go into the water so it might be a good idea to get some.
As said before Tesco are about the cheapest.

Go to any of the touristy shops on I drive or 192 and they will sel them for a few $. We have always got ours from there.
I would definitely get pool shoes if you intending to go to any water parks, the bottoms of the pools can be quite rough. We all have Tesco pool shoes this year.

Thanks I knew Tesco had them but not in any of my stores. Will try sports world. If I don't get them are they really really necessary. Could the adults do without them. Could we walk about barefoot all day.

Most sports shops will do them, lots on ebay pretty cheap. I wouldn't go again without wearing them.

We bought the tesco ones back in may for £4 but lasted about 10 mins,, they look good and up to the job but as soon as they got wet which was in a splash pool of off a slide the in sole came loose and folded back in the shoe,, i took it off and fixed it, but as soon as i walked it folded in again, i then removed both insoles but felt sore on the feet a little. Maybe better made ones would be better

Just been to Tescos and they have only childrens size 6 and 7 left. Will try Ebay now if not will get some cheap ones there as we're not going to DC until the Friday before we leave on the Sunday.
Thanks
Hope you don't mind me asking but do you buy the same size as you would shoes or do you go up a size?
We all bought the same size.

I bought mine in Matalan last year as we were going to Turkey and were told the beach at the resort was quite rocky in certain areas. They were £2 a pair, I got pink ones for me & DD, and navy blue ones for my DS. There's still in great condition so I'll be taking these with me next year. £2 is a bargain and they don't look naff either:d:

I wore mine with the Dolphin swim, noone seemed to mind, even the trainers had them on, its quite slippy underfoot with the rocks and some can be a bit pointy.
We got ours in some random shoe shop in Bootle Strand, but most Walmarts will do them as well.

Must remember to get some of these - I always forget and my toes get cut to shreds when walking the lazy rivers :pgig:

I got mine from Matalan, don't think they cost that much and I got them in a lovely pink colour. I also got them in the same size as I normally get. As others have mentioned wear them for the dolphin swim. I didn't the previous time and my feet got cut.

After a bit of a struggle with sizes I eventually got some in Brantano. One of the kids has adult sized feet. Other than there I couldn't find them anywhere. Mothercare did have a couple in smaller sizes as did a sports shop. Will wait and get adult ones over there.

Can I ask what colours Walmart had? I cannot for the life of me find my OP water shoes. They were black with a little bit of pink and they were a bit more feminine than some that you can buy. But I can't find any here at the minute so thought I would wait a couple of weeks until we are there.
Thanks.

When you are not looking for them then they are everywhere. When I wanted them they were NOT reduced in Matalan nor where they even in Tesco now they are reduced. I bought adult ones off ebay. Cos of a toe problem I bought a bigger size and they are great.
