WE did Boggy Creek airboats a couple of years ago. Can't remember how much it was but bound to be a website where you can find out. Yes you can easily get 6 on the boats, yes it was really good fun and we did indeed seen the dreaded alligators! Thankfully they had already eaten!! Also got to see eagles up in the trees. Definitely worth doing for the experience - our two boys loved it!:wavey:

We too have done boggy creek, we have done it twice and it was a really good experience. On both occassions we seen a few gattors and also got to see a bird catching a fish! Really cool. The first time we did it there was 6 of us and the second time there was 12 i think. We had plenty of room of bith occassions.
If I remember correctly it was about $25-$30 each but we has a money off coupon from the free map from the airport!
It lasts about half an hour I think, I think it depends on the guide you have and what you have been able to see while your out on the lake!
Fabulous experience, not to be missed IMHO. We always go to the East Lake Fish Camp location at Boggy Creek. We`ve always seen plenty of wildlife including `gators. Have a look at the official Boggy Creek website which is here. (http://www.bcairboats.com/)

Notice the OP is going around the October time. Weather is cooler then so Gators tend to stay on the surface to "warm up".
Ive done both April and July. Didnt see much in July as the Gators stay under water to stay cool, but the ride wa still good. April was much better.
Safe as houses are the airboats. Actually a very smooth ride all things considering, and the captains relish treating their passengers to full speed 360 degree spins. All good stuff IMO and not frightening at all.
Captains will take you to within feet of a Gator, switch off the engine and allow for photo taking. Ive seen turtles, Eagles and cows on the lakes........yes cows.
If using Boggy Creek Airboats I would agree with Fiona and use the East Lake Fish Camp. Better facilities for food and drinks [even a beer if required] and a better ride than Southport Park IMO.
Best time to ride is as early as possible. I think the rides start around 9am.
Hope this helps

We have family visiting us and we went to Boggy Creek on Saturday. We were on the 4:50 boat ride. It is roughly $25 per person but you can find a coupon here and there (print out one on their website although it is minimal). I wasn't sure how good it would be since we were going at a hot time and it is the peak of the summer heat. We ended up seeing quite a few alligators, loads of birds (including a bald eagle), racoon, cattle, etc. There were about 17 of us on the boat so there is plenty of room for larger groups. I believe the younges on the boat was around six and she LOVED it!!

We absolutely love the ride though and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. It's great if you get to see loads of wildlife but the scenery was beautiful so it made up for all the sleepy heads during our trip ;)

We did Boggy Creek and enjoyed it but much prefered the Twister airboat rides at the Lone Cabbage Fish Camp near Cocoa. It was very a very spit and saw dust place with a bar but much less commercialised. There is a website if you search.
