Hey, I can't wait to sit down at a restaurant and be placed with a plate where I think "flippin eck! I can't eat all that!" :d:

The biggest portion I have seen was when my husband ordered a naan bread type salad at Perkins last February. I have never seen so much salad and gunk on a plate - it was gi- normous and then some. Made me feel sick just looking at it and no he didn't finish it but had a damn good go!!:wavey:

Most places seem to serve huge portions - Even the KFC served about 6 pieces!
I seem to remember the starters at the Cheesecake factory were huge as was the Outback!

Everywhere serves huge portions, it's not hard to find an overflowing plate. Some restaurants do smaller portions, they are enough for me.

The baked potato at Shula's. OMG it came on a plate that you would serve a dinner on.

When the waitress put it in front of me I said....I only ordered it for one. She said, that is only for one. :confused2

Honestly I would put that in the middle of our table at home, for all 7 of us....It was sooooooo big

Second time I ordered it me an DD shared.... and still only magaged to eat a quarter of it between us.

chicken dinner at yoders amish restaurant in sarasota, it was half a chicken with homemade stuffing and two veg and potaoes. then they asked if we wanted pumpkin pie and cream for afters.

For us it was the Cheesecake Factory. Even the lunchtime specials are so big it's a real struggle to order the cheesecake after.

When I ordered a burrito the server just laughed. I don't like to boast but it was massive!

Although we only went in for a piece of Cheesecake. I think the biggest portions we have ever seen served up were at the Cheesecake Factory at Mall at Millenia. We couldn't get over the portions and have said that we must go eat there next May.

Bennigans filed for bankruptcy a few weeks ago but apparently there are still a couple open in Orlando - they are the ones that had franchises and were not owned by the company ( can't remember the name but its the same one that also owns Ponderosa). The company was making double digit losses on the Bennigan restaurants.

Hope to find one of the ones that is still open when we go after seeing those photos.

Pizza Hut on the 192 the girl brought over my Chicken Alfredo and my jaw just about hit the deck....3lb of pasta!!.with massive breadsticks to boot!

My DH ordered the 'mini' burgers from Cheesecake factory - it was a starter. He got a plate with 6 burgers on - they were the size of McDonalds hamburgers (but much nicer!) - I had the ranch salad for starter - It was a massive salad bowl - like a mixing bowl - full to overflowing! We couldn't manage all of our mains, so they boxed them up for us :omg: Still bought a piece of cheesecake to take back with us for later though ;) It would have been rude not to!

I think you're on about Shulas (Ithink it's at the Swan or Dolphin, but I could be wrong) 48 oz porterhouse challenge. Hope to try it when we go, depends on the owd finances though.
